  2. Review titled Badly lacking Administration

Badly lacking administration ★★ Rated 2 stars out of 5 by Anonymous - Posted on 29 March 2024 I tried over a week to contact by phone and then gave up, this after having to call 111 over the weekend whilst not well but the surgery did not even bother to get in touch with me! Doctors are great, staff are pleasant but administration is zero! No organisation of phones and appointments, no piscription manager ie a pharmacist, no organised calls answering service, no online proper organised running of the practice in general, imposable to be contacted by phone or otherwise making it very hard work to talk to any staff member! What a shame it started off well but very bad management I guess. 😞 Visited December 2023

  3. Review titled Unorganised and unreliable

Rated 1 star out of 5

This surgery started off great but has gone massively downhill. Its so hard to get an appointment and you're always in a really long queue on the phone. When you do get through, staff appear helpful but are very unreliable. If you have any issues with prescriptions or appointments then they'll promise to look into it for you and you never hear back. I had an appointment cancelled because they completed the correct form, I called back to rebook and was told I would hear back that afternoon, I didn't hear anything so I called back and it went to an automated message that the phone lines were closed for prearranged training so they obviously never had any intention of calling me back.

  5. Review titled Worst surgery

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have been with this surgery for over a year and I feel its the worst surgery ever. You cannot get appointments to see a doctor even when u call as warly as 8am to make one- they always give Nurse Appointment. Tried over 2 days to get an appointment as I need to see a doctor but to no avail. And they ask if you want an appointment a month away

  7. Review titled Great medical staff, hopeless admin.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Mike Caffrey - Posted on 17 July 2023

I've seen 2 GPs since I joined around 2 years ago, both have been great. Reception not so good. I made a complaint in May of 2023 regarding an incident involving reception staff and finally, after 2 months and my having sent emails pursing the issue I got a call from someone that did nothing but offer an empty apology. When questioned about why I have to wait 8 weeks for an appointment he told me that was about average across all surgeries - that's rubbish. I know of no one at any other surgery that can't get an appointment within 2 weeks. He said it was a resource issue, I questioned that and said it was more likely that they'd taken on too many patients over the last 2 years, given the level of housing expansion there it seems quite likely. I asked how many patients they had on their books to which he replied it was confidential. More rubbish. I looked it up online at healthgps - it's publicly accessible information. Same with the number of GPs at the practice, apparently that's confidential too. He told me I had to moderate my tone or he'd end the call - that's the same as telling a kid that if he doesn't behave he won't get to play with his Nintendo. I'm a grown up, I appreciate honesty and being treated with respect. When I don't get that then I give none in return ,as he discovered. I have many and complex mental health issues , I don't need my buttons pressed by someone who can't cope with someone being stressed by his lies and brow-beating attitude. Two years ago I'd have given the surgery 5 stars, now, not even 1. It's a shame because as I say, the medical staff have been great. I'll now be taking the complaint outside of the surgery.

  8. Review titled Good care

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Alan Chapman - Posted on 19 May 2023

I was attended to by the nursing team and the level of care given as well as the professionalism demonstrated was much appreciated. Any questions or concerns I had were answered and if required a GP was on hand to provide additional advice and treatment. I felt very well cared for

I know it’s tough getting an appointment these days and you have to wait but if you hang in there the surgery will sort something for you. Always polite and helpful. Thanks for the great service.

  10. Review titled Absolutely disappointed

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have a serious problem with Whitehouse's surgery, because they don't want to give my daughter (41 months) immunizations. They always tell me to wait for a supposed letter that never arrives. I need to travel on April 1 and I have asked for help. And they always tell me at the reception that these vaccines are not important for my daughter, or that the only ones that matter are the vaccinations of the year and before. why do they say that? It goes against the World Health Organization and the National Health Service. And I have already had the same problem when my daughter turned one year old because notification of her vaccines never came and after complaining many times, they were given 2 months late. Why do the reception staff play at being doctors? Instead of accepting that there is a mistake in the management of this health center, they always make ridiculous excuses. I also spoke to the manager, and I asked him to help me, and his solution is that I go to Masta and pay for the vaccinations my daughter needs. My family already pays high taxes. Why do I have to pay more to get my daughter vaccinated? these vaccines (3y & 4m) are necessary and mandatory. They have also told me another excuse for her to wait until she is 4 years old, and in the meantime my daughter could get sick with something very serious. And on top of that, there are never appointments to see my daughters when they need it. And if I ever get an appointment, they cancel it the same day as they have already done 4 times this year. It is unfair that they do this with the health of children. And I have asked for a referral letter to go to Bupa, because we are also paying for it, and they say they can't. I am really worried about the health of my little ones. I only ask if they can't. make an appointment at this health center, make an appointment at a different one than if I have a GP or nurses. Please, I need help, I need to guarantee the health care of my little ones when they need it. And above all, my daughter who is over 3 years old needs her vaccines.
