  2. Review titled Very unhelpful

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Avril Smith - Posted on 14 October 2024

I was given a telephone appointment between 1pm and 6pm and as I am not in a position to sit watching my phone for 5 hours I somehow missed the call. After a half hour wait to speak to someone in reception I was told the dr would call back. Because of a problem with my phone, the call went to voice mail and I was told to rebook my appointment. I went into the surgery and explained the problem and was told the dr would ring my landlines. She didn't. The first available appointment was a week away, and at a time when I would be on a busy train, so obviously not acceptable. I am currently looking for another surgery, but West Croydon is very badly served!

Dear Avril Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate your frustration but we are unable to give a specific time for telephone consultations as we cannot predict how each clinic is going to run some appointments take longer than others and the clinicians do their utmost to get through them in a timely fashion. I can see from the system the Clinician attempted to call you twice once at 1.30pm and then again just after 3pm.

  4. Review titled The worst practice.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 30 August 2024

I think that most of the Doctors at this practice, do not care about patients enough. And think that patients are naive. I was told that my toddlers telephone appointment was to be between 1pm and 6pm, whilst making the appointment. I saw a missed call around 12:10 on the day! My time is also important, just as much as the Doctors time. I called the reception as soon as I saw the missed call, a little before 1pm…they said they would send them a message…the receptionist did not seem to care much. And this is just one bad experience…I have several more. The nurses are the only good thing about this practice.

  5. Review titled Negligent

Rated 1 star out of 5

    by Michael-Ann - Posted on 11 September 2024

I called about my concern's of not being able to fall asleep after working a 12 hour shifts and commuting a total of 2 and a half hours. The doctor I spoke to questioned why I can’t go to bed earlier and why I go to bed late cooking dinner and wake up early to eat breakfast, which I explained, that I can’t cut out eating breakfast and dinner in order to get to bed earlier and wake up later and that my issue is falling asleep and not my routine before and after work taking up time that I could use sleeping. She told me that she “there’s nothing medically that’s can be done” about my concerns even after discussing possibly going on medication to help me sleep to which she repeated “there’s nothing medically that can be done” to symptoms which I think are clearly linked to insomnia.

  6. Review titled It is not a great practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Javier Evora Perez - Posted on 16 January 2024

On Thursday 11th January I submitted the form to register in this GP and I haven't received any messages from them to know how's going the process even I sent a message to the reception and they haven't replied anything. I work 9am to 5pm so I can't go there for help and the telephone all the time is tied up. Impossible GP!

  8. Review titled Best care received by the nurse

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 February 2024

I had been referred to my local gp practice, following a minor surgery on my finger. I received exceptional care from the nurse (N R). Extremely professional and made my daily dressing procedures smooth and comfortable. Answered all my queries and was very patient. This in turn made me feel supported throughout the process, which revealed to be quite daunting at the beginning. Also a big thank you to the lovely student (S) who was on placement at the time; likewise professional, kind and attentive.

  9. Review titled Awful Practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 03 November 2023

Refused to give me an appointment for my 3 year old daughter who was suffering with bad earache. They told me to go to a pharmacy. I had to ring 111 and take her to a walk in GP hub & she was diagnosed with ear infection and given antibiotics. The doctor I saw told me to arrange a follow up at my own Doctor. Impossible !!- again they are refusing an appointment, telling me she does not need it. Rude reception staff, who do not take time to listen properly. I will be changing my Doctor. Awful surgery!!!

  10. Review titled Lack of Effort

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 09 September 2023

Called for a telephone consultation twice in the same minute. Then my case was closed. Poor lack of patient awareness, clinical team need to revise their telephone policy in order to meet patient needs. Otherwise, this continuing practice only results in additional appointments being made in order to meet the patients needs in an already over stretched NHS system. This is a waste of tax payers money.

Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately as a busy practice the doctors are unable to keep calling the same person when they don't answer the phone as they have a full clinic of patients to respond to. Reception do advise you to keep your phone with you at all times and to call back straight away should you miss a call for a valid reason.
