  1. Review titled Difficult and disappointing

Rated 1 star out of 5

Had to extend my sick note following surgery. Was told I couldn't book until the day it expired. Called at 8:30 am to book an appointment and told medical emergency appointments only. I was told that a task would be added for doctor to review but no update by the end of the day and I need to update my employer. When I called back at the end of the day even the receptionist was confused at what the other receptionist had stated and to I dentify where this task was added. I am still unsure of when this will be reviewed, how long for and when I will get a note to give my employer which is concerning. I was hoping at the very least to have a note but I have to wait 2 weeks for it to even be written. I would have liked to discuss the situation with a doctor as my recovery has not been straight forward which is concerning me. The delay in getting the note was not communicated to me and I am still not completely sure when I will get it and now have to have an awkward conversation with employer about my health and the situation surrounding the note when I don't even completely understand it. Not the first time I've struggled to get an appointment or answer with lack of communication. I appreciate medical emergency on the day appointments are priority however given that I can't ever l pre book a non urgent appointment I don't see what else you can do other than ring on the day. Difficult to get seen or communicate and makes you feel like you're not taken seriously or understood. I'm not one to write reviews but this has left me very anxious and confused

  2. Review titled Awful Practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

I cannot get an appointment and have been trying for a couple of days. I am really worried about my daughter and think it is urgent that she have a GP appointment. I phone at 8:30 prompt and join the queue and by the time you speak to someone you are told there are no appointments left and to phone again tomorrow. The receptionists don't seem to care and I feel so frustrated that someone who needs to see a GP can't do so. How many more mornings do I have to phone through trying to get an appointment? It's no wonder people go to A&E in desperation.

Good morning Christine Anderson, I am sorry that you have felt the need to complain about the surgery and I am sorry for the delay in responding to you, but I have been on annual leave, I know that my deputy spoke to you on the phone, but I will respond to you officially via the E mail that you wrote into the surgery. Thank you for raising this concern. Yours sincerely Tabatha Saunders Practise Manager

  3. Review titled Dangerous practice

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I booked an appointment this morning as my blood pressure is very high. When calling at4 pm to enquire when the nurse would call I was told it had been cancelled. What??? I did not cancel it. Totally unconcerned that a patient with blood pressure at 190 has not been seen. Could I call 111 . The lady that called me in the morning had completely misunderstood and cancelled the call. What a joke this is . So now I am left feeling ill and with pressure that is totally dangerously high. Let's see if apologies are given out.

  4. Review titled Misunderstanding

Rated 4 stars out of 5

In early May I left a review that was not great due to a misunderstanding between practise and patient regarding an appointment. The practise manager called me and we sorted the problem out to everyone's satisfaction. The professionalism from the surgery was great and to be called personally I felt like a valued patient and then to have it all sorted out was really the icing on the cake. Thank you Wheatfield you are still a great surgery.
