As a long time patient I have had a couple of 'not so good' moments, however this week has reaffirmed why I stay at this practice. Having ongoing health issues I have regular blood/check ins. This week I had one and again it was reassuring, calm and she took the blood without issue which isn't easy with myself! I always ask for this particular Scottish HCH as she is a little gem!! I also had a Dr's appt and I have never felt so 'heard', reassured or supported. I wasnt rushed (sorry next patient!) and he offered new options to work with my mental health. Knowing it was all overwhelming he gave me a follow-up appt (no inevitable battle with the phone lines unfortunately) directly so I could consider everything we had discussed. He was also welcoming to my partner whom came with me to support and listened to her. This male Dr is a one off and brings so much to the surgery.

On Friday May 30th advised by my regulat Pharmacy part of my repeat prescription not available an did not know when would next be in stock. Rang the surgery pm on that day. The receptionist I spoke to was very understanding, very helpful and very professional. She said she would immediately ask duty gp to issue prescription to alternative pharmacy. On Saturday 31st at 9am picked up the tablets. Absolutely brilliant service,as always,from West Park. Mick Wells.

Had an appointment yesterday for something I had been putting off for a while. The doctor listened closely, examined me, discussed things with me and made a thorough plan to move forward. I left feeling listened to and happier. Thank you

One unpleasant and unfriendly girl at reception as well as a strange , unfriendly nurse (wore blue trousers uniform) in the dental office reception near phlebotomist bit . Also phlebotomist rude. I was queuing at reception for my blood test appointment. By the Time the receptionist asked another person to deal with people queuing at reception I was over 10 mins late for my appointment. I then find out the phlebotomist won’t see me now and reception informed me I’ll have to rearrange. I explained I am nearly 15 mins late due to queuing at reception and only one receptionist was dealing with people at the desk. Reception then said I’ll have to rearrange. I explained I couldn’t as I have taken time off work for this appointment. Eventually reception said the phlebotomist would see me next. This was not the case and the woman taking bloods saw other people before me. So I was waiting again. By the time I was called in for my blood test it was one hour later after my original appointment time. How can this phlebotomist make these decisions of turning people away like she did me originally and be so petty to see me last. Extremely poor at reception and of the phlebotomist . My appointment was on Tuesday 25 February 2025 at 10.20am. There is no care for the patent at this place and it shows a couple of the staff including phlebotomist are narrow-minded and petty.

My recent appointment with the GP was such a positive experience, despite previous appointments for the same medical condition the doctor continues to be very thorough, empathic and understanding whilst giving reassurance with clear advice. Even though I am aware the doctor have time limits for each patient I never feel rushed which is so important as a patient especially when feeling unwell, in addition I felt listened to and valued as a patient. I have nothing but praise and respect for the doctors in our practice and particularly the doctor who I have seen recently in surgery.

Doctor was professional, reassuring and made time to answer my questions. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else for medical treatment or advice.

I recently visited with some concerns regarding the menopause. I was given an appointment with a nurse who specialises in this area. The appointment was for the same week and was on time. The nurse listened closely to my symptoms and made notes as we talked. She suggested a course of treatment to try for 3 months. She told me all about the treatment I was going to try and what to look out for and also that there was room to increase my dose if needed. She absolutely knew her stuff and made me feel at ease. I really like the doctors and nurses I have seen over the years and like that we can get appointments at two different locations. I haven't really struggled to get seen. The reception staff at both sites are lovely. I absolutely would recommend this practice.

I am fortunate that I do not have any ongoing medical problems so I get called in for routine check ups, and when I arrange an appointment everything works well.
