    I was very lucky to get an appointment on 2 June 2025 at very short notice at a time when the surgery was very busy. I was seen by a doctor promptly, he was courteous and efficient, and I was very pleased with the experience. We are very lucky to have such an excellent surgery in Solent Road, NW6, and I am grateful to all the staff, including the efficient and helpful receptionists.

    I dropped into West Hampstead Medical Centre this week and was again reminded what a fantastic service they provide.! I was given a same day appointment and was treated with respect and kindness. My issues were sorted out swiftly and easily and I can't thank the Doctors enough for always taking care of me. I can't recommend the practice enough.

    It is easier to get a ticket for the Oasis reunion concert than an appointment at this practice. There is usually a window of 5 minutes at 8:30 am when you may be like to get to talk to the receptionist in time to be given an appointment. If you try the normal booking or the online booking systems, they give you an appointment in 2-4 weeks, when you will probably not need the appointment any more.

We're sorry to hear you experienced difficulty booking an appointment, and we fully understand how frustrating that can be. We appreciate that getting through at peak times, particularly around 8:30am can be challenging. However, we would like to take the opportunity to reassure you that we do offer a good level of access, including many pre-bookable appointments as well as a substantial number of same-day appointments that are released each morning and can be booked by phone, in person or online. In addition, we also offer the eConsult service via our website, which allows patients to submit their medical concerns or queries online at any time, without needing to call the practice. We are continually working to improve our systems and ensure fair and timely access for all our patients. As your review was posted anonymously, I am unable to contact you directly.     Please thank Dr S (GP registrar) for seeing my son with tonsillitis so quickly, kindly and efficiently today. We phoned the practice at 2pm, were seen at 3.35 (5 mins early for our appointment at 3.40), by 4 pm we were in Central Pharmacy and by 4.15 he had had his first dose of penicillin. It's a difficult time in primary care but WHMC has always been very very good to us. Thank you all very much.

    After a series of unsatisfactory dealings with another local medical practice I joined West Hampstead Medical Centre as a patient 2 years ago. At a time when many practices are struggling, I have been very happy with this clinic's support of its patients. Specifically: 1. Office administration is helpful and efficient, and even at peak times reception answers the telephone speedily; 2. One can nearly always obtain a face-to-face appointment on the same day with the clinician of one’s choice; 3. There is continuity of care with the same doctor; 4. The Practice seems to have effective links with hospital consultants and concerns are rapidly answered by text message; 5. This medical centre uses technology to streamline its services rather than seeking to hide behind it. This is a glowing review because I am a very satisfied patient. So much so that my family have also joined the Practice.

    I have moved around a lot and other GP practices don't compare. My experience is always positive, the doctors listen and care about providing good quality care and the admin staff are amazing, always kind, helpful, organised and there is a sense of good leadership within the practice. Never have to wait or beg for a Drs appointment when unwell.
