  1. Review titled Excellent response

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Kwatts - Posted on 01 May 2024

On Friday, I phoned through to the surgery in the afternoon having left it too late. The lady who answered the phone was incredibly helpful - I think realising I really did need to see someone. Whilst it was impossible to fit me in that day, she organised a hub appointment on Saturday where I was seen, diagnosed and given the appropriate meds to help my situation. I genuinely think I would have been in a&e by Sunday otherwise. To me, the way the lady who took my original call listened and dealt with me was excellent, matched by the locum who saw me the following day. I believe too often that the people behind the desk get blamed and criticised and indeed sometimes abused by patients when they can't magic an immediate appointment or deliver an immediate response. I felt respected and valued by both people who dealt with me and am very grateful for their help.

  2. Review titled Doctors let down by the admin arrangements

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Expect to be seen on time by a doctor who will do their best to help. But also expect the car park spaces to be too narrow to get out with ease and the receptionists to pry into your medical condition and talk about you behind your back. The pharmacy counter seems to always be closed. If you need a blood test you will have to make a further appointment for another day at Northwich Infirmary and then make a third appointment to hear the results.

  3. Review titled Impossible to get an appointment

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by EMG - Posted on 30 October 2023

It’s a constant battle to get an appointment. I received a call to book an appointment with the doctor following an scan and phone the surgery. I phoned the surgery only to be told to do a book on the day the day after. I explained with my job (also medical) that I would be seeing clients for appointments between 8-9am each day and struggle to call. There was no exception and I therefore cannot have my results unless I luck out and get through in breaks between consults. This is a terrible, obstructive system and impossible for working people.

  4. Review titled Great Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I want to say how extremely pleased I am about my experience with this practice today. I phoned for an appointment for my dad who was having breathing difficulties. I was given an appointment but when asked what it was for this appointment was changed to see someone more appropriate. I brought him for his appointment, he was seen on time, thoroughly examined and was given antibiotics. By the time we arrived at the pharmacy on the way home the prescription was ready. First class and friendly service by every one concerned.

  5. Review titled Useless

Different doctor every time you go, no follow up on medical problems, nightmare getting repeated proscription, know wonder A&E is so busy GP's are useless.

  6. Review titled Staff & practitioners who listen

Rated 4 stars out of 5

    by Felicia W - Posted on 08 December 2022

I have had an overwhelmingly positive experience with this surgery. I have been listened to and plans made for treatment. The admin staff have been patient and also take time to listen. Considering the pressure placed on them and funding cuts by the Tory government for years now. This NHS surgery continues to go above and beyond for my young daughter and me. I have no complaints. I have been frustrated when I haven't been able to get an appointment but it has not been the fault of the surgery or the staff. If someone has felt staff has been rude, perhaps they should consider how they have spoken to and treated staff. I have seen shocking behaviour while waiting to collect a referral letter or to check-in when the screen hasn't been available.
