    Had blood test trued to book apiontment computer says no get letter of doctor to see him go down to book appointment computer says no I haven’t seen doctor in 10. Years this is a joke just want appointment like old days you can’t book in moths time

    Dear Anonymous Little Britain fan, We are sorry you are having trouble arranging an appointment. Sadly we no longer live in the "old days". In current times we have more demand then we have capacity to provide for, and therefore run our appointment system runs at 100% capacity on a daily basis.     Disappointed that a basic question about eligibility for the Autumn Covid booster could not be answered . Sadly no one in reception even had the correct information on the required age , it’s actually 65yrs and over plus vulnerable groups , not 70 & 75 yrs . I was asking on behalf of a 67 yr old family member who is a temporary patient until moving to her permanent home locally .

    Both myself and my daughter needed emergency appointments but the receptionists decided that We were unworthy of an appointment despite a hospital consultant telling my daughter she needed one!

    Dear Mrs C, Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry to hear that your experience with our surgery has not met your expectation. In order for us to investigate your concern we would need to know your name, your daughter's name and the name of the consultant who advised you to book an emergency appointment. This way we can investigate your concerns. Usually the only reason we cannot offer a same day appointment is that either there are no more appointments available, or the reception team are following the triage protocols set out by the GPs. Also, if a consultant feels a patient needs urgent treatment, then they can often start some treatment themselves. We would certainly explore this on your behalf if you would like.     Thank you for seeing me today, the prompt and kind attention I received was truly lovely. The painkillers are working on my ribs already, giving me more relief. Bless you all for being so kind and helpful in these difficult times.

    Having just moved into the area I suddenly found I needed a consultation. Thought I had registered earlier in the week but hadn't, reception was great, took forms in at 9 and had response by text at 9:30 asking for photos and then had doctors call by 10:00 and saw doctors at 11:30 :-) Thought this level of service disappeared ages ago, just so so grateful to all the practice staff for the superb service. John C

    I just thought that I would record my experience in registering and receiving consultation and treatment as there is considerable negative press in the media. Yesterday I visited the practice at 10am to ask for an appointment. I was told to expect a call back to my mobile within 2 hours. I received a call after 1 hour and was then invited into the surgery in the afternoon for a face to face consultation as the issue could not be resolved over the phone. I attended the consultation in the afternoon, reviewed the issue and was provided with a prescription. Maybe I was lucky with timing, and being able to be flexible, but I am not sure how the service could be better.

    I have received the very best of care from this practice since I moved to the area in 2018. I have been really impressed how they have handled several issues I was experiencing in 2021 and recently in the first few months of 2022. Despite Covid and being under extreme pressure I have always been able to get an appointment by telephone or in person with both my doctor of choice and the nurses. I have been referred to hospital for tests which have been undertaken promptly. I have also been able to get new medication and repeat medication promptly. The staff are all friendly and do their best to help. If I have to wait on the telephone a little while to get through, I am happy to do so as I understand they have such a high workload to deal with every day.
