  1. Review titled Poor reception attitude

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Samuel Leonard - Posted on 30 April 2024

I visited at the end of April to simply book a blood test for medication I am currently taking. I asked the receptionist if I could do this and she bluntly replied we haven’t got any, without checking my requested date. I said I need one as the medication I’m taking requires me to have my liver function checked. So it’s quite important. She huffed and puffed until finally agreeing to a day. Her attitude was awful and her patience was very fragile. I’m very disappointed by the way I have been treated today.

  2. Review titled Unorganised practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have rang reception every month for the last 5 months, trying to book a smear test. I am told that the diary is full even though I have rang when I’m told the diary will be released again. Absolutely shocking that one nurse only does smear tests when we all know how important they are. Very poor service.

  3. Review titled Terrible reception service

You wait in a phone queue and after a long time you may get to number 1 but that means nothing because it never seems to be answered , I drove from from hill to Hereford on number 1 with no answer . A couple of years ago I had a chat with the practice manager he said things were going to be automated now it’s worse than ever.

  4. Review titled Needs complete review and upgrade.

I can only say that the experience I have had when trying to arrange a phone appointment beggars belief. I tried to call at 8.00am (as advised). I waited for 30mins only to be told there were no available slots. Additionally, the date I had been given to discuss blood test results (3 weeks after the test results had come in) was cancelled and postponed a furter month; no reason given. Surely, there must be a better way to respond to patients than this insensitive system. I might also suggest that some of the staff receive training in how to respond to patient phone enquiries.. With some exceptions, the response is often abrupt and rude, with little sense of civility or respect.

  5. Review titled What a tragedy.

This used to be one of the best practices in the City. Sadly it is now underperforming to say the least. To actually see a Doctor is impossible. When conversations are held with some of the reception team they state you will receive a call back. Does that occur, sometimes but I can quote 2 occasions in 3 days when It did not .It leaves patients worried and uncared for.

  6. Review titled Booking an appointment is a joke

Rated 1 star out of 5

I very rarely need go to the doctors. . Have blood test results. Check online. want to discuss results and medication. call surgery, told go on line to book. Go online, nothing available. Like ever!!! Call back the surgery. I am No 1 in the queue. waited 16 minutes to be told you cant book an appointment as the diary is full, I ask what, like ever? Not until after May 25. Ok what's the next step. Told to call at 08.00 for a same day callback. This is bonkers, god knows how many people calling at the same time desperate to talk to a GP. How can this be efficient with patients just wanting on the phone for hours to talk to a gp. God help the people that are really ill.

  7. Review titled Rude and upsetting

Rated 1 star out of 5

After not receiving a ‘call back’ to book an appointment, I waited 24 minutes to be answered by a rude receptionist who told me I could not book an advance appointment. How are people supposed to book an appointment if they are not able to sit and wait on the phone at 8am in the morning. The level of service has significantly declined.

  8. Review titled Shabby

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I was shocked when I went to the surgery how shabby and unkemp it was. Light switches were dirty. Just not like it was years ago, then it was warm clean and welcoming. Some friendly staff but not all were. Needs a thorough good clean and tidy up.
