Wallingford Gp Surgery is a busy practice with generally very good doctors … But, appointment staff are abrupt, sometimes rude, want to publicly know what your medical problem is in open plan and you can very much hardly Ever book an appointment on the same day or same week. You’re nearly always told to call back and book at 9am which is impossible to get through. Front office staff give off this vibe that you’re making life difficult for them in that they’re not friendly and speak down to patients. This GP surgery needs a total overhaul and clear understanding of what encompasses a friendly and helpful attitude to service. V poor - I’ve even had the appointment staff slam the phone down on me when I lost mobile signal for just a brief second. We are currently looking around at better alternative surgeries.

Without exception, all staff at this practice provide an outstanding service. The GPs go above and beyond what could reasonably be expected and despite being grossly overworked never fail to give of their best. Recent medical challenges have been dealt with in a caring and thoughtful manner - much appreciated. Highly recommended.

I required medical attention but didn’t urgently need it. I’ve recently moved to the area and was turned down by a few practices who have closed their books due to capacity. My previous practice was unable to help me due to being out of area now. I spoke to 111 for help, and they advised me to calling Wallingford Medical Practice. Within an hour of calling them, I was signed up as a patient and had a doctors call booked for that afternoon. Both the doctor and receptionist were extremely helpful and welcoming. My problem was solved on the very same day, and I hopefully won’t require medical assistance again any time soon, but if I do, I have every faith that the practice will be able to help.
