Tried to contact for an appointment at 8.15 through to 8.22 , just got a load of rubbish on a recorded message then got told couldn't complete call, then went in at 8.23 to be told no appointments left , absolutely ridiculous, these GP's need to get better than this , I'll probably end up in A & E later just to put them under more pressure because a doctor in my GP surgery could give me 2 or 3 mins

Dear Mr Dodgson, thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry you have had some difficulty arranging a GP appointment and I understand this is frustrating and apologise for your poor experience. A large number of new-build estates in the town have meant all local GP practices have received a substantial influx of new patients, and this is impacting on appointment availability. Did you know - you can complete an online e-consult about any health concerns and a GP will call you back? This is usually the same day. This link will take you there: https://the-village-surgery.webgp.com/ Alternatively, some of our patients prefer to make their appointment at the reception desk when it opens at 8.15am. Trying to get a midwife appointment it's hard as everything has to be filled out on line why can't they just take some information from you and fill a foam out for you its not hard to answer a few questions am absolutely foaming if this site doesn't work the morra morning I won't be happy I need to see a midwife be4 am 10 weeks pregnant

Courteous and friendly admin staff. Clinical team efficient and professional. GP only seen once but good assessment and plan going forward seems good option. No issues at all with surgery

Not necessarily about the GPS, but the receptionists haven’t sent through my prescription multiple times which has left me without it for weeks at a time. The receptionists tell me they will “send it through” and I wait a few days to be told it’s ready, when in fact the pharmacy have not received the order. Once is fair enough, but four times is ridiculous.

Having read some of the reviews I find it hard to accept the negative comments.I have been a patient of this practice for over 40 years and have always had first class caring and efficient service from all the staff,doctors,nurses and receptionists.The medical team are all brilliant,they always have treated me with care,dignity and compassion.More often than not I am seen on the day I ask for an appointment and usually on time,no waiting 2 weeks here.I really cannot rate this practice high enough,to me they deserve to be rated 6 stars!

I saw a GP at the Cramlington Hub who is also a Village Surgery GP. I was really struggling with a condition and my usual GP Surgery was not interested so as a last resort I made an appointment at the Hub. Wow. The GP I saw was brilliant! She listened to me at my own pace (no feeling of being rushed), gave advice and a prescription, and pointed me to online areas for further knowledge. Was treated like a human being and it was great to actually see a GP rather than having to have a telephone appointment which my current practice insists on. I’m definitely going to switch practices.

None of the ‘healthcare professionals’ were wearing masks. The surgery sounded like a Tuberculosis ward. When asked- we don’t have too anymore! At least attempt to be a preventer rather than a vector!
