  1. Review titled Disappointing

Extremely difficult to get a GP appointment, still using the 'phone after 8am tomorrow' statement which was banned in 2023. Some Receptionists and Healthcare Assistants are extremely unhelpful and unprofessional. We've been signed up to batched prescriptions without consent on two occasions. Complaints are largely ignored or given nothing more than lip service by a Practice that really doesn't seem to care or follow its own policies. We've found some staff to be poorly trained. Medical treatment can be hit or miss depending on who you see. Waiting rooms are never busy, cannot understand why this Practice goes out of its way to obstruct you getting an appointment.

  2. Review titled Awful, unprofessional and uncaring

Rated 1 star out of 5

Dreadful Practice. I was refused a flu jab despite being eligible. HCA was incompetent and poorly trained. HCA and Receptionist knew nothing about the Complaints procedure and were rude to my husband when he tried to access this help. Complaints Manager was rude and unhelpful and I've found out my medical record has been changed to read "asthma resolved". I have been unable to get an appointment with a Nurse or my GP to discuss management of my asthma for 2 years. Fortunately I have now changed to a fantastic Practice with an amazing specialist Asthma Nurse and I am being treated for poorly controlled chronic asthma. Ventnor Medical Centre is a disgrace.

  3. Review titled no advice

Rated 4 stars out of 5

contacted the reception with what I considered a serious condition and asked for a call back from doctor. I was then told that I could have a call from doctor within 2 days. I was not offered any advice as to what course of action to take. I was lucky enough to call 111 to get help and was advised to go to a&e. Even if no GP call can be arranged there needs to be advice for those who do not know what action to take. Please train reception staff to get advice or be trained in what to do when no appointments are available .It may be life or death
