    Receptionist were very polite and helpful with a smile on their face. Doctor was very helpful too explaining more about my situation to me in a way I could understand it.

    On Monday 11/03/2024 afternoon I have received a text message from vhc advising me to book an appointment with GP ( I believe it was regarding to the recent MRI scan of my back). Next morning at 8:03am I began process of booking an appointment have chosen recommended option 1 to get call back as soon as my turn comes up. After an hour ( at 9:06am) of waiting I had a call. Trying to ” pick ” the phone the call was disconnected. Call was just disconnected for some reason. Things happen. I have been waiting for all day ( I work 12 hrs 7-7 shifts ) for call back. Unfortunately it never happened. Can you please advise to and it would be really helpful and appreciated if in that case of disconnection a caller ( GP or doctor) could call back. It was not me who cut off or rejected the call ( after have been waiting for 1 hr). The call was just disconnected. I don’t think it’s that difficult or cost him a money to call back. As for the money. Every month for the past 21 years I have been living in this city they deduct some money from my salary towards NHS. It means that NHS is not free for me. You ask to treat NHS staff with respect and dignity. Working personal, professionals ( like me) deserve the same things and should be priority because they work, pay for NHS and relay on your help.     Reason I’m doing this is because the receptionist got abuse by someone who said the machine wasn’t working and missed their appointment. I used the machine and it worked just fine. The receptionist checked the machine and it was working fine. Either the person who missed appointment didn’t know how to use it or arrived to late to use and should have joined the queue to speak to the receptionist. The receptionist couldn’t do anymore than she did and the problem was with the person who was having trouble.

    Went to the GP this morning I got seen within an hour considering it was a walk in. Really lovely staff and I had a really friendly and helpful doctor.

    I was requesting a prescription from the surgery. I did have to do the race on the phone line at 8am which is really annoying, but did get through. The receptionist was pleasant and efficient. I had the promised phone in the morning with a nurse, I thought I would speak to a doctor, but my Rx was sent to a local pharmacy with no hassle. I was happy with the service. It’s just a shame this 8am telephone rush to get an appt can’t be fixed.

Patients have the opportunity to book a same day appointment if they call at 8am, our busy times are 8am until 10am and would recommend you call after that time if it’s not an appointment you need.

    Quick to book and get myself sorted. Friendly staff. Still difficult to get GP appointments tho. And some GP’s are not that approachable .
