As I enter my fifth year at University, following on from a previous 5* review, I would like to reiterate my praise for the University of Sussex Health Centre. The team of nurses and doctors are highly professional; highly experienced; friendly; efficient; caring; down to earth; completely fantastic. Having recently suffered a bad case of Covid, the nurses and doctor were very helpful in looking into my symptoms and organising check-in calls to ensure I was recovering. I felt listened to, I felt cared for, I felt in safe hands. My condition was investigated in fine detail and I felt comfortable in managing my illness from home in regular touch with the team. In addition to the positive, personable experience provided by the staff, the Health Centre seems to lead the way in use of technology - integrations with the nhs app, electronic prescriptions, options to send photos/videos for review, telephone appointments etc. - it all makes life a lot easier. In what I imagine to be an environment in the nhs of ever-increasing workloads and pressure, I would like to sing my praises for the people who work so hard to provide an excellent service to the local community. I would highly recommend the Health Centre to any fellow students and colleagues here at the University of Sussex.

All of the nurses are lovely and everyone on reception does fantasticly considering the sheer number of call ins! This practice actually prioritises treatment unlike others I have been to and has been the friendliest gp surgery I’ve encountered!

I have been registered with the Health Centre since 2019, when I enrolled at the University of Sussex. In that time I have had many telephone appointments, and a couple of in-person appointments. The reception team are quick and efficient, and although it takes a while on hold during peak hours (8.30am for example) the staff are quick and understanding once you get through. All of the nurses who have been assigned to me, in addition to the Doctor I have spoken to before, have been understanding, efficient, and provided accurate diagnoses and treatments. On the odd occasion where there has been an issue with a prescription, or something via an external provider, the centre have been most helpful. The admin team have also been helpful in the provision of evidence of conditions as and when required by the University. Despite the current climate of healthcare funding, I would recommend this centre as a professional and competent provider. Thank you for your continued help.

Really knowledgeable specialist asthma nurse who has recommended a new inhaler which has massively helped to alleviate my symptoms. My asthma has never been so well controlled. Highly recommend this practice and all their lovely staff.
