  1. Review titled Best practice I have ever had

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Always amazing at this practice. Such kind and lovely staff. I left an EConsult with their slick online system, was telephoned about 2 hours later and then asked to come in for an appointment an hour after that. Was recommended the practice by a friend and will ensure that I recommend it to anybody else.

  2. Review titled Poor Online System

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Chris Martin - Posted on 04 December 2023

Whilst I can understand the need to triage calls and appointments, what I do not understand is the need to close the online system to allow further enquiries/requests after a certain time. The prescription service does not allow for historically repeated acute medications to be requested/to avoided wasted GP and my time requesting things that are known to be needed. There is no flexibility in the system and this excludes are large portion of people. I do not know why an general request cannot be made 24/7 online rather than simply current system which is that if you do not go online at correct time you cannot do anything until the following day; or sometimes it even closes early without warning. The triage system needs to be reconsidered as it is a very poor service at present. Overall the surgery is good as are staff including GPs, but access is a problem, as with all GPs due to pressures but particularly with this surgery.

  3. Review titled Impossible to get an appointment !!!

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have to say firstly that the reception staff are great, secondly the GP's are great. My main concern, I went through the on line appointment process and received a call back notification for 18 days time. That's right folks 18 days to see a GP, sorry but not good enough. It's such a shame, as mentioned above, the clinical staff and reception team are brilliant.

  4. Review titled Appointment system seriously flawed

Rated 3 stars out of 5

Didn't have immediate access to laptop so phoned for help for my 8 yr old daughter who is currently crying with earache. Nope, can't help, appointments must be booked on line. Borrowed neighbours laptop. Online service is not working , " please call the surgery where our reception staff will help you". Not so much. Sadly not my first experience of abrupt to the point of being rude receptionists at this surgery which is a shame as the drs and nurses are excellent if you can get to see them. I appreciate the strain gp surgeries are under and no member of staff should be treated rudely but maybe some of them could have a little training in treating ill and worried people with the same compassion.

  7. Review titled Lovely people

I have just used the Klinic system and found it very easy, much quicker than waiting in line on the phone. However I’ve never had a problem with hanging on the phone either. The receptionist’s are always very helpful and I had an appointment on the same day as my request.

  8. Review titled I’ve never had a bad experience at Trescobeas, ever!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Change is never comfortable but, is inevitable. Booking appointments on line has to be the way forward, for most people. I booked on line @ 8.30am, a receptionist called me @ 9.30 am and I saw the doctor @ 10.30am. Picked up my prescription next door @ 10.45am. I have nothing but praise for these hard working individuals.

  9. Review titled Very poor accessibility, phone system impractical, frustrating

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Trying to get a prescription to treat a very uncomfortable bronchitis attack. Going around in circles, keep getting cut off when in the waiting list. So far this morning have had to listen to the same answer phone message, from 2 different drs, 7 times. Unable to speak to anyone. Too busy, so no messages being taken. 111 were helpful, said dr would ring me at 9. Didnt happen. Tried again, this time 111 said it would be a 3 hour slot starting at 9 am! Didnt happen! I have been with this surgery all my life, and have never felt less cared about.I hate to have to write this kind of review. The Drs themselves are wonderful, but the system is a brick wall!

  10. Review titled Disgraceful

Rated 1 star out of 5

Been trying to get seen now for over a week, after finally getting through was told you can now only book online, tried to explain that I don’t have internet access and was told to not be ridiculous everybody has!! Why are we being treated like this, effectively everyone else in the country has to carry on with coronavirus,we have to go shopping take the kids to school, etc etc,but the surgery has decided to shut up shop, are you telling me that the same doctors and staff aren’t doing the same things we are, no doubt maskless as are we. Please start treating your patients with care and dignity as was your pledge when you took up this profession.
