  1. Review titled No follow up email

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Hannah Wilson - Posted on 18 March 2025

I had a face to face appointment on Fri 7th march at midday to discuss DBT therapists and recommended psychiatrists as I’m wanting to change my ADHD meds as they’re worsening my anxiety/sleep/mood. And I’m really needing help with my ADHD, so DBT was recommended to me. I was told I would be emailed all this information early last week, but haven’t been emailed anything yet, and I really want to start getting stuff sorted. I can’t remember the name of the nurse I saw, but you should have it on your system - please could they be chased to email me this info? Thanks so much

  3. Review titled Great advice and timely and professional follow-up

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Alan Aldridge - Posted on 18 November 2024

My doctor was brilliant. She focussed on looking for new alternatives for ongoing, longer term symptoms. She has a lovely,. kind manner and the best and most consistent follow-up I have ever received from a GP. Well done her!!

  4. Review titled Impossible to book appointments

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 27 August 2024

The actual medical staff generally seem fine, and I have no complaints with regards to them. However, it has become increasingly impossible to actually book appointments to see them. The Patient Access app doesn't offer the option to book a GP appointment, the practice website directs you to another site that tells you there are no more bookings. When you call them you can often be waiting for 10-15mins for someone to pick up, and then they typically tell you to call back the next day at 8am, etc. You are left with the general impression that the admin staff regard patients as a significant inconvenience and distraction. It is one of the worst practices I have ever dealt with.

Dear Patient. I am very sorry to hear of your difficulty in securing an appointment at the practice. We are genuinely trying hard to make access for patients easier but obviously this has not been your experience. We will continue to look at ways we can improve, and your feedback is most valuable to us in achieving this. In light of this it would be really helpful if you would contact a member of the management team in order for us to explore your experiences further. we will reflect on your feedback and hopefully improve the access we offer. Please accept my apologies again, and thank you very much for taking the time to post your comments. Neil Lazenby. General Manager.

It seems you can only post petite reviews on this site. Something the new Sec for Health needs to be made aware of So thank you NHS and Thurleigh Road for missing my kidney cancer on four consecutive visits. Luckily when I went to St George's they saved my life.

  6. Review titled Terrible

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 27 June 2024

I’ve tried for two days to get an in person appointment with a doctor at the practice by filing out the online form. The first day I had no response. The second day I was called by a doctor at a different practice and was offered a telephone appointment. When I explained why this was not sufficient and that I wanted an in person appointment she told me to ‘calm down’ which was extremely patronising. She then offered me an appointment in Roehampton (when I live on Thurleigh Road, my issue has affected my ability to walk and I have a newborn baby). On reflection she then agreed that wasn’t suitable and said someone from the practice would call me to arrange an appointment in the practice. No one has contacted me. It should not be this difficult to see a doctor at my local GP. It fills me with anxiety every time I am ill and need to see a doctor/nurse in person because I know it will be an uphill struggle.

Dear Patient. I am saddened to hear of your issue with the practice. To apply some context to your experience, when the practice has reached capacity, or in periods outside our normal operating hours, we are sometimes able to use available resource in a neighboring surgery. It appears that this was the case when you was contacted by and directed to another practice. However, due to your circumstances this appears to have been completely unsuitable which we should have identified earlier. I am also concerned that you were not contacted after being told that you would be. It would be really helpful if you would contact a member of management so that we can look into the matter further. I totally understand your anxiety in contacting the surgery following your experience, but I want you to feel supported in your health needs and confident that your practice can deliver that support. We will learn from your experience and improve. Please accept my sincerest apologies, and thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. Neil Lazenby. General Manager.

  7. Review titled Brilliant Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by S Job - Posted on 18 May 2024

Having joined this Practice a little while ago I never had cause to visit apart from very efficient flu and Covid reminders. Recently I have seen 3 GP's for various reasons and I have found everyone from nurses, admin and particularly the GPs to be fantastic. The care from the GP's, attention to my personal detail and care has been, in my opinion above and beyond what I expected. I know all practices are busy but on each of my visits I have never felt hurried, dismissed or felt I was not cared for. I am so grateful for their kindness. The GPs at this practice are very special and I thank them so very much.

  8. Review titled An excellent practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Paul D - Posted on 30 May 2024

All the Practitioners I have had contact with over the years are simply fantastic! Today was no exception. Extremely professional and at the same time very caring, kind and considerate. My only criticism is the procedure one has to go through in order to get to see one! This is web based. In my humble opinion, this should not be the case. A telephone call is much simpler. However, once I had ploughed my way through the application process, including an explanation as to why I wished to see a Practitioner I pushed the submit button. I received a telephone call within the hour and was offered an appointment this morning. At the appointment it was decided that I should be referred to a hospital clinic. Soon after I got home I received an email with all the necessary information enabling me to make an appointment at the appropriate clinic. This process worked really well and I am extremely grateful to the Practitioner I saw for their swift action. Thank you very much.

  9. Review titled prohibitively difficult to make appointments

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 21 May 2024

In spite of receiving a text message from the practice advising me to make an appointment, I have been unable to make an appointment despite several attempts, both online and over the phone. The online service is not user friendly, it is made incredibly difficult for patients to make appointments, I can only imagine how difficult the elderly and vulnerable patients must find accessing the service. Very concerning.

Dear Patient. I am sorry to hear of the difficulty you have experienced in making an appointment with our practice. I can appreciate your comments regarding vulnerable patients completing the on-line access form and this has always been a major consideration for us. In light of this, we have continued to receive phone calls where we can assist patients in completing the on-line form. Of course, on this occasion you were unable to get through on the phone which is a concern for us. It would be helpful if you would contact us so we can investigate your issue in more depth, so we can learn from your experience and hopefully perform better from now on. Please accept my apologies for the inadequate service you received, and thank you very much for taking the time to leave your feedback. Neil Lazenby. General Manager.

  10. Review titled Great Practice & Caring

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 10 March 2025

This practice takes such great care. Both my parents are registered here. In Febuary I received a call explaining they had not seen my father and they arranged an appointment for him. Also during this month, my mother needed to be seen and they accommodate her next appointment needs straight away. They always keep a check on their records and contact me when any check-up is needed. All the staff are so caring and go out of their way to help us as a family. We are very luck
