Excellent organisation at the flu clinic today. My 95yo Mum, who is in a wheelchair, was dealt with speed, kindness and consideration by all. My 71yo husband and I (65) have been with the practice for over 40 years and recommend this practice highly.

I used to enjoy visiting Thornhills Practice, but unfortunately a sarcastic receptionist has made me dread the call the the surgery for support. Please take action if your staff do not treat others with respect.

I had really good service today from Thornhills Medical Practice. I spoke with an efficient, polite receptionist and a telephone appointment was booked for me. I had a telephone consultation with a Paramedic. He was knowledgeable, efficient and reassuring.

On the 7th June, I phoned the surgery to ask for an appointment for a blood test. When I phone I was in 4th place, but after about 5 minutes I was informed I was in first place, so I thought I would be answered in a short while, but after 30 minutes I was still waiting, which I think it's far too long. I don't know what was happening. I only know it took to long too answer the phone.

I called the practice this morning and I was given an automated option of being called back when my call position was at the front of the phone queue. I took this option and was called back just 20 minutes later. The receptionist took my symptom details and she was very friendly and empathetic, in doing so. She arranged for a doctor to call me back, later that morning. 2 hours later, I received a phonecall from an equally lovely doctor, who took the time to listen to my situation and she double checked her understanding by relaying back what I'd said. The result being, I am going to try some medication to hopefully stop my pain and the doctor will check in with me again in 2 weeks time. I couldn't have asked for a better service. I would recommend Thornhills to anyone. I don't need to contact them very regularly, but whenever I do have the need to, they have all been friendly, professional and very helpful. Thank you, to everyone at Thornhills.

I would just like to thank all concerned for the efficient way the latest flu jabs were arranged and administered. Both my husband and I we in and out in 10 mins on the Saturday afternoon. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

Have always found this practice to be helpful and the doctors giving you time to explain your issue/s. Yes, I can be difficult getting an appointment, especially on a Monday morning, but that's when most people are calling.
