  1. Review titled Unable to order prescriptions online

Unable to order prescriptions on line due to not having appropriate ID and unable to upload photo ID. I suppose I will have to make a special trip to the surgery for an inquest on who I am. What a waste of time, may be I wont get my medication and end up in Hospital. Unable to order prescriptions over the phone.

  2. Review titled Wonderfully supportive

After excruciating overnight leg pain and swelling I rang the surgery at 8.20am, briefly described the concerns and the receptionist agreed that there was an urgent need for a clinical response and that a GP would ring me back. This call was made shortly after 9.0am and there was a very comprehensive discussion as to potential issues and responses. The GP asked me if I could visit them at the surgery that afternoon so that a personal examination could occur and I welcomed that opportunity. By 3.0pm the GP had examined the problem area and felt that the most informative and conclusive outcome could only be achieved if the leg was scanned in hospital. While present, they rang the Worcestershire Royal and confirmed with me that a scan could be performed early the following afternoon - which then occurred. The specialist described in detail what was the most likely cause of the pain and swelling and that she would forward the report to my GP with immediate effect. By the time I had returned home I was able to ring Thorneloe and the receptionist pleasantly talked me through the report and what the response of the GP was and how we would proceed. This entire `journey` took well under a day and a half and that can only be described as stunningly successful. To summarise - I was afraid that my leg had again triggered D.V.T.`s and so I sought medical help. The surgery could not have been quicker in response, could not have been warmer in their supportive and informative approach, could not have been more medically open as to the issues and how they should be resolved nor more successful in securing the hospital assessment. Finally, the practice were completely supportive in a really friendly manner and talked me through the next steps I could confidently take. The Thorneloe practice are simply brilliant - thank you!

  3. Review titled Very disappointing

Unfortunately I needed to pay a visit to the doctors for a couple of reasons. I originally called on Tuesday to pre-book an appointment for Friday as I was on annual leave. I was told that they don’t take pre-bookings anymore and I’ll have to call them from 8am on Friday to book an appointment for the same day…. Fast forward to Friday morning, 8am and 103 phone calls later and I get through finally! I’m then told that I will receive a call back from the doctor for a phone consultation and that it’s “not too bad as I’m only number 4 in the queue”! It’s now been 4 and a half hours and every time I call back the line is busy!! I’m now sceptical whether I’ll actually get booked in today. As a working man who very rarely uses my doctors, the whole episode I’ve had to go through (without an appointment yet) I find completely unacceptable. Sadly, I feel this may be the case at many surgeries but for me, I’m left feeling completely unsupported and left with no confidence in Thorneloe Lodge Surgery.
