I attended the clinic for a smear test - was seen early, I was really nervous but the practice nurse I saw couldn't have been nicer. It was done with minimal fuss, the nurse helped calm me down and she gave me some tips to make it an easier experience. Would recommend the service to anyone that needs it :)

Told the practice closes at half 6. Finished work early to get there for 5 to hand in my registration forms and they’ve closed the doors. Really fills me with confidence putting my health in the hands of such a considerate bunch.

I can assure you that the surgery doors are open until 6:30pm each day and until 8:00pm on days where we run the extended access hub at The Surgery @ Wheatbridge (Mondays and Thursdays). I’m so impressed with the help and great service I have experienced at this surgery. I live in Durham and my elderly Mum is a patient at Wheatbridge. The staff and Doctors are always helpful and efficient. I rang this morning as Mum thinks she may have a water infection and within an hour I have spoken to a Gp on the phone, medication has been prescribed and a urine sample arranged. Excellent service thank you.

My review does not relate to the medical care at the practice but to the attitude of some members of staff on the reception desk. Without going into the details we were rather disappointed by the lack of understanding by a member of staff when we were held up by a traffic incident and arrived a little late for the appointment. The doctor showed understanding but a member of staff on the reception desk repeated her criticism more than once. The attitude displayed was most inappropriate and unhelpful.
