I was there for shingles top up and also had blood taken. The process was painless the phlebotomist was knowledgable , friendly and re-assuring, discussed with me what was was going to be done and carried her work very well

As promised to the Lead GP, here is my review of The Slieve: I am delighted to share my experience about the new Receptionist at the GP surgery. From the moment I walk in or call, her warm demeanour and genuine care stands out. Not only is she incredibly helpful in assisting me with my appointment and queries, but her kindness and empathy makes me feel truly valued as a patient. It's rare to encounter someone who embodies such qualities so effortlessly. Her exceptional service has undoubtedly contributed to enhancing the overall experience at the surgery. I am grateful for her dedication and professionalism. Absolutely, here's a review highlighting the caring nature of a GP: I cannot speak highly enough of the main GP. His unwavering care and compassion made the visit to the clinic a reassuring experience. He took the time to listen attentively, providing not only medical expertise but also genuine empathy and support.

The tempo, manner and efficiency of the nurse was brilliant. An extremely good bedside manner. I was made to feel very comfortable and at ease.

I took my mom to the surgery yesterday for her annual blood pressure/ heart rate check up. She was seen by practice nurse Ronnie who was so helpful, compassionate and friendly. She took time to listen to my 93 year old mom and explained everything so clearly to her. She was very thorough and professional and put her at ease about her heart health . Thank you Ronnie

You cannot get an appointment on the phone yet when you go to the surgery you can book one. The staff on the phone lack compassion and need a lesson or three in customer service.

I finally find the form to fill in online to review travel vaccinations. Over a week later I get a phone call on just before attending a blood pressure check up saying I need a vaccination but they don't have any appointments before I travel. On the form I also stated I was going to other places later in year. Asked to book the next available appointment but was told I need to fill in another form. Receptionist printed out form saying I didn't provide information even though it was clearly on the printed sheet. Was then told I still couldn't book an appointment as the other places might not have been assessed by the nurse. No wonder my blood pressure was high. No alternatives for finding another location to get vaccinations were given.

The doctors and nurses have been very professional in the way they have dealt with me. They have been very thorough and very caring. They have taken time to explain their conclusions and proposed ways forward.

Considering new changes are coming in May and it should make it easier for people to get medical advice when they need to see a doctor, book a GP appointment which comes into effect in May, that GP surgeries also have to offer patients an "assessment of need" upon first contact, by looking at their case there and then. They will "no longer be able to request that patients contact the practice at a later time." I phoned the surgery this morning to book an appointment, I was told no appointments are available and I need to ring back on Monday for new appointments to be released and also that it is not a guaranteed I will get an appointment. The receptionist told me she had not heard of these changes, which I was left feeling very surprised and shocked when it is all over the media, News.
