You cannot get an appointment on the phone yet when you go to the surgery you can book one. The staff on the phone lack compassion and need a lesson or three in customer service.

I finally find the form to fill in online to review travel vaccinations. Over a week later I get a phone call on just before attending a blood pressure check up saying I need a vaccination but they don't have any appointments before I travel. On the form I also stated I was going to other places later in year. Asked to book the next available appointment but was told I need to fill in another form. Receptionist printed out form saying I didn't provide information even though it was clearly on the printed sheet. Was then told I still couldn't book an appointment as the other places might not have been assessed by the nurse. No wonder my blood pressure was high. No alternatives for finding another location to get vaccinations were given.

The doctors and nurses have been very professional in the way they have dealt with me. They have been very thorough and very caring. They have taken time to explain their conclusions and proposed ways forward.

Considering new changes are coming in May and it should make it easier for people to get medical advice when they need to see a doctor, book a GP appointment which comes into effect in May, that GP surgeries also have to offer patients an "assessment of need" upon first contact, by looking at their case there and then. They will "no longer be able to request that patients contact the practice at a later time." I phoned the surgery this morning to book an appointment, I was told no appointments are available and I need to ring back on Monday for new appointments to be released and also that it is not a guaranteed I will get an appointment. The receptionist told me she had not heard of these changes, which I was left feeling very surprised and shocked when it is all over the media, News.

have waited 3 weeks for a appointment got to the surgery staff sitting there doing nothing, surgery completely empty yet no appointments are available. Phone staff do not want to give you an appointment and Gps only want to give telephone appointment. A long time ago you had to que up at a surgery in handsworth and the que would be 300 yards out on the road and the Gps would see every patient and them doctors probably earned half the money they get now. Terrible surgery horrible staff.

Phoned up wanting to talk through whether to go onto statins following a blood test result. GP gave clear explanation of pros and cons, risks and benefits, as I am completely borderline. Very thorough and informative. I felt that my concerns were heard and dealt with very satisfactorily. Thank you for taking the time.

I am really happy with the support received from one of the receptionists every time I have to call to book an appointment. It is a daunting experience and she makes it easy every time. Her calm manner and patience reduce the stressful experience. She has always been kind and very responsive on the phone, and for that, I am very grateful :) Thank you!

I forgot about calling at 8am due to morning rush, called at 10am, got through almost immediately with no wait. Requested an appt with a female doctor and they gave me a f2f one within the hour. Got to the surgery and was called in at my exact appt time no additional waiting. Doctor spent a good enough time with me as well, thorough assessments and outcome to send for further tests. Was really happy with the compassion and positive service I received.

I cannot recommend the care given by this practice enough. They went out of their way to support our mother in getting our father into a nursing home close to their home. All the support services including District nurses / Palliative care nurses, the main GP at the Slieve Surgery and their Pharmacist could see that my mother could not cope with our fathers care and they shifted the earth and seas to get our father into a nearby nursing home so my mother could have respite and visit him easily. Thank you so much all the staff at the Slieve Surgery, there is no doubt in my mind that my mother would not have survived much longer in the care situation at home if the support given by this Surgery had not successfully procured a place at their local nursing home.
