I require daily ADHD medication, there has been news of an upcoming shortage of my medication and therefore I have put in a prescription request for more than normal so that I don't run out. I have called today and been told that my additional emails have been ignored because they could see I wasn't actually due, the receptionist went on to say they do not reply to emails. I pointed out they have a phone and a courtesy call to let me know would have been nice so I can sort something else out. But no they told me 'we assumed you would know why it was prescribed'. Been registered here for 5 years and lets just say I'm glad I don't have to go to the doctors often.

I've been attending this GP surgery my whole life and the receptionists remain to be the only negative about any of my experiences there.

I have been registered with this surgery for 60 years !! However for obvious reasons I have more interaction now than in my younger days. I find the prescription team to be 100% responsive and proactive in involving a pharmacist if necessary. I have found the reception staff to be courteous and helpful and GP return calls prompt and effective. I feel that with all the criticism of the GP/Practice service that I wanted to say a big thankyou to all the staff at the Shrubbery who throughout and to this day care for us so well. I am very aware that there are many problems in other practices but not The Shrubbery - I see they are accepting new patients and for those of you looking for the confidence that you need from your practice I suggest that you move to this one.

I have been a patient of the shrubbery for over 20years l can honestly say l have never had any problems with this service. Last week l was very I’ll and we rang the surgery and then an adviser rang me straight back to refer me to the dr who rang me within a sort time who diagnosed my problem and arranged for a prescription to be sent to my local pharmacy. Later that morning l was rang by the nurse to check that my prescription was thru and told me what was wrong with me . On Tuesday the following week the dr rang me to see how l was and if I needed any more tablets .l can honestly say that every member of staff l spoke to was very polite and professional. That you to every member of staff at the shrubbery

Unhelpful and unfriendly receptionist, felt like I wasn't welcome there. Staircase crippling on my arthritis, no offer of being seen downstairs. Waiting room old fashioned.

Due to it being virtually impossible to get an appointment or a callback with a Dr even when you do eventually get through on the phone, I decided to try the EConsult. The automated reply said I'd be called by the end of the next day, it's now 7days later and still no call. This surgery needs closing down, or starting from scratch.

The doctors here are great, so in terms of health care, it’s a fantastic surgery, hence why I have stayed with them for many years. The receptionists however are extremely unprofessional, rude and uncaring. As an example, I was dropping in something for the DR as requested. Whilst there I missed a call. I popped back into reception to check I was still on the list to be called after missing one call and the receptionist replied ‘we do not know what the doctors do, that’s up to them’ in the meantime, two others were arguing over a pencil which had been left on the side and the fact that one owed the other £2. I stressed again I just wanted to see if I’m still on the list to be called, and again was met with am aggressive response of ‘we do not know’. Another receptionist checked the call list and did confirm I am on the list for another callback. This is a callback for my son and issues with his heart. I know I’ll receive great care when the GP calls me back but this level of treatment from receptionists leads me to be further disappointed by this surgery.
