Just joined the practice. Unlike my previous three GPs. Middlewood are pretty much enforcing use of patient support to a private company. Don't expect to interact with a human much at the middlewood practice group. You cant email for repeat prescription. Can't email general clinical questions. You can write on paper for a repeat which is good. But a bit bad on an environmental front when you can just send an email. To interact with this place you need to agree to the terms of patchs (a private "Spectra analytics" product). I've found if you email with any general request. Their reply is to quote: "The Middlewood Partnership use the patchs system as a way of communication to patients, therefore, please call the surgery with regards to any questions, queries or clarification regarding this." All in all. If you like to speak to ai chatbots and are fully up on the nhs app and are willing to agree to a private company terms and conditions with your private data. This place is for you! I'm genuinely hoping this place shows a more human front for interacting with our valuable NHS.
