Recently joined Peel Practice and today had a telephone conversation with the clinical pharmacist, who was able to answer all my questions in a very caring and knowledgeable way. Previous surgery did not have this facility which is a real asset to this practice.

Thank you, Maria, for your review. We have in fact two clinical pharmacists at the practice who work along side and support our clinical team. They are very much an asset to the practice.

Peel medical practice has been consistently good when requiring appointments for my children. Always seen on the same day if needed and the nurse practitioner is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. On a recent visit my son’s croup was cured by the next day. We always know we’re in good hands.

This was my first appointment with the practice nurse at the surgery and I was totally impressed with the gentleness, care and communication provided.

Receptionist, Dr's, practice nurse etc have all treated me with respect and been extremely helpful and supportive getting me through my recent illness. I really feel that I have been listened to which has helped me over this last few weeks. The service has been hassle free which is what you want when you are feeling poorly. Thank you all you have been amazing.

Post-Pandemic, the Practice seems to be nearly ‘back to normal’. Fast, friendly, professional people who are easy to deal with and respond positively to enquiries. I am very happy with my practice.

Thank you for your feedback David. We are always looking at ways to improve our service and as demand has increased post Covid we have had to consider how to increase access for patients whilst ensuring that we can provide appropriate consultations in a timely manner. The introduction of the on line consultation service has allowed us to do this whilst prioritising the telephone lines for more urgent issues. We are pleased to hear that you are happy with the service that we are providing.

This truly is a fantastic practice every doctor or nurse myself or my family have been seen by or spoke to have been thorough, kind and professional. The reception staff are always kind and helpful. I cannot thank the practice enough for providing incredible care each day

I messaged the surgery regarding an appointment for a bad back that I’d had for over three weeks , the initial text message response said that I could be waiting 2-4 weeks for an appointment so to call in a morning if things were urgent. However, I got a text message the following day to advise that an appointment had been made for the day after. The nurse practitioner that I saw was brilliant, she was so welcoming and polite and made a big fuss of my children because I had to take them to the appointment with me due to school closures. The nurse took one look at me without my coat on and immediately knew what was wrong with my back from the position of my shoulders. She pointed to the area of concern without me really having to give her much detail and prescribed me with medications to help and referred me to a physio to get further help. I was really worried I’d just be told to wait it out with the pain being in my back but it has actually been triggered by something in my neck. I have never felt so welcome and comforted in an appointment before Thank you so much!

We would usually aim to see any non-urgent problems within 2 to 4 weeks however we can of course offer appointments sooner when available. Helpful and reassuring. Time was taken to explain things clearly. This was followed up by a text message explaining that a referral had been put in for an ongoing problem. The consultation process with the practice is simple and effective in my opinion.
