  1. Review titled Impossible Request by GP

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Robin Beck - Posted on 23 March 2024

I recently received a request via my Nhs App to provide blood pressure readings over 4 consecutive days, to be sampled at 09:00 and 16:00 each day. I was required to register the readings using the web link provided. The request was sent on the 7th of March at 12:21 pm, but no start date was mentioned, nor was the fact that the link came with an expiry date. So I elected to start my 4 days from the following day since it was no longer possible to provide that day's 09:00 readings. I was dismayed to discover after logging in just after 09:00 on the following day that this was in fact now day 2 of four, and that the link would expire before I could supply a fourth pair of readings. As a (now retired) computer systems professional this suggests a lack of a properly-designed user testing scheme. I trust my doctor was content with my three submissions as I have had no feedback, not even to say that my submissions had been recorded - another failing, in my view. A very good idea to deploy modern technology in this way, but poorly executed.

  2. Review titled May as well be closed

Now registered for an online prescription service (as are most of the village) as fed up of waiting almost two weeks for my medicine. Phones never answered for follow up query, and just feels like that is a mismanaged greedy business, except you get service from a business.

  3. Review titled Poor approach and attitude

Rated 1 star out of 5

Having been contacted twice by the Practice over the last few days by different people I am appalled at the lack of professionalism and rudeness of the people that I spoke to. There was a view that attending to see a doctor is the most important thing in the world and the condescending manner of both people was atrocious. Whilst not saying anything at the time I felt that I turned abrupt and difficult due to the nature of the conversation, which is not in my nature. Especially the GP who seemed to be more enthused with his 'position' in life than the care he is supposed to give. This business, supported by the NHS, would not survive in a competitive environment due to the customer care and approach. At no time was my circumstance or recent activity discussed, which would probably have impacted the assessment diagnosed. If this is primary care then there is no wonder the NHS is failing
