tried to book on line appointment on Monday, got email back stating a reply would be done in 2 days, still waiting on Thursday.Got throught on the phone only to be told an appointment was given on Monday, but I never recieved anything, then she said 'whats gone on here',so a mistake made by them. Then told if you don't like the service go to another surgery. Very professional. Sitting in the surgery all you can hear freom the receptionist to people is call in the morning.

  2. Review titled Superb Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I submitted a message to the GP Surgery via the website at 8am on Monday morning. I received a call from the GP before lunchtime who offered an appointment that afternoon. I was in and out of surgery within 15 minutes by which time the GP had examined me and arranged a referral for physio, blood tests and an ultrasound. Extremely efficient service and it is clear the system works well.

  3. Review titled Lovely and helpful staff. Terrible use of systems.

Just trying to get blood test results is unbelievably frustrating. I’m reasonably techy so have the NHS & Airmid apps. Whilst there’s some interaction between Millwood and these apps it’s very limited and I suspect their staff spend more time dealing with queries resulting from this than it would take to make them work properly. So you’re pushed to use their online message system. Ask a question, get a reply (usually quickly to be fair), go to answer. If it doesn’t fully answer the question you can’t reply to the message (why?!) so you have to fill in all the same fields again to send a new message. All I want is to see my blood test results. Should that really be so difficult? Why not just push them to the NHS or Airmid app? Other GPs do exactly that.

  4. Review titled Poor practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have on several days tried to get an appointment at this Surgery trying at only 8.15 in the morning only to get the return reply the practice is full, there is facility to book an appointment in advance say for in a couple of days or a week let's say, if it's full there is no way to communicate with the Surgery. I then phoned the practice to see if I can get help, only to get cut of when I reached number 1 in the que. I then proceeded to visit the practice in person to explain that I think I have an hernia and it's causing me a lot of pain during my working hrs and I am trying desperately to get an appointment, only to be told buy reception that they also can not help me. I was advised to call the practice again and wait to speak to someone. I did this only to be told by this person they also could not assist or help me about my medical condition. So I went home and proceeded to follow the 111 advice on my condition and the answer I got was contact your GP, so as you can relate I went round in a circle only to end up where I started. I asked also to speak to the practice manager but this request was declined and was told that was not possible, so do I wait until I collapse and end up in an ambulance or go to A and E which is for emergencies I am trying to resolve this before we get to that stage but without success, other practices that my friends use have the facility to phone and make an appointment especially if it can wait for a couple of weeks or use online in the same manner. Why does the Millwood surgery not offer this option or at least help when you phone them. I think it's very poor and there duty of care to there patients is not being followed as per NHS rules and regulations, this is not the first time I'm having an issue with this practice and something needs to be addressed as reading other reviews I'm not the only person who feels this practice has a poor service.
