Good front of house staff (administrators) and Doctors ok when an appointment can be made. However, the appointment system can test the patience of a Saint. Want an appointment, ring at 0800 and so does everyone in the locality. No differentiation of urgent or non urgent. Miss the day’s schedule call again tomorrow. Alternately book on line but a full calendar is not available and no published advice on when the next dates would become available for those with non urgent but worrying conditions. I must admit I do not have a ready answer because I don’t know all the facts and competing priorities but surely, with all our smart systems, it is not beyond the “wit of man” (sorry ladies but man in this sense includes everyone) to design an appointment system that looks after the customer (patient) and not the shopkeeper (Doctor)
