I came to the practice to have a routine health check/ blood test and am happy to say that I was very impressed by the nurse. She was friendly and down to earth but also knowledgeable and professional.

I had the dreaded smear this morning but what an experience. My nurse, whose name I sadly didn’t get, was so welcoming, professional, and most of all made the experience painless and so quick. I cannot say enough just how much I appreciated it. I was in and out in 7 minutes. Amazing. Thanks so much for making what is usually a horrendous experience an absolute breeze!

Me and my partner have both repeatedly tried to make contact with this shoddy practice to request further treatment options for our 18 month old daughter’s eczema’s flair up. This practice is so poorly managed that the receptionists have no idea how to speak to people and will constantly signpost you to use the E-consult despite it clearly stating for anyone under 5 you must contact the practice directly. Despite reiterating this to the receptionist they refused to help and again told us we had to use the E-consult, surprise surprise it doesn’t work! Also despite being on a repeat prescription myself I am also unable to request this via their site and have had to repeatedly request emergency refills via 111. Now that COVID is no more it would seem the receptionists at this practice are using this to their advantage to refrain from having to do any actual work which is to the detriment of the patients registered here. We will be looking to find a new surgery in which we can rely on to provide suitable treatment for our child. My advise is stay away from this practice if you want to receive the care you require

Thank you for your feedback Scott Myself and the Partners have listened to the call whereby the receptionist tried to offer polite and correct information, however each time was cut her off mid conversation. The call ended with ‘worse surgery ever, f*****g useless, don’t worry about it’ We have also looked at econsult whereby any child over the age of 6 months can have appointment booked or admin request sent in. We cannot see what you are doing differently to raise this issue you are informing us about, indeed, no other parent has this issue In regards to repeat prescriptions there are 4 ways of requesting them, again this advice is available on our website and our phoneline. Dr rang to check on my elderly mother’s health. The support offered during the call and the flexibility and understanding was fantastic. When I explained about her reluctance to come in for routine health check we were offered advice on how to self report blood pressure results. Advice was offered on other conditions and discussion was considerate and friendly. This care has been apparent before and during Covid too. Emergencies and other visits have all been speedy and caring. I actually find the phone appointments very helpful since I don’t live near my mother and would have to travel to bring her into the practice. The reception staff, nurses and drs have all been very kind. Arranging appointments has been easy and friendly. Thank you all.

I phoned on behalf of my elderly father who had just been tested positive for COVID. Despite my late afternoon request, I received a call within the hour. After confirming that Dad fell within the criteria for antiviral treatment the Dr was unsure of the easiest way to obtain the antivirals. He phoned me back as promised within a few minutes to explain that I needed to register the positive result, which would be reviewed overnight and contact would be made the following day. I was able to follow his suggestion and was indeed contacted the next day and the anti viral drugs were arranged to be sent. I phoned the practice and left a message with a colleague to explain what had happened and to pass on my thanks to the Dr. Within a few minutes I received a call from the Dr, who was checking that I'd been able to register the positive result as he'd asked a colleague from a different practice if they knew an easier way, he'd obtained a form for me if I needed it. I was able to share my experience and thank him personally. I have always found the Dr's and staff at Mansell Road to be very helpful, as a carer for my Dad that gives me great peace of mind.

I attended for Flu Jab and wanted to book to see Dr. Normally there is a screening phone call, but as I left Flu Jab, the Dr attended to me straight away. He dealt effectively with both my complaints and referred me for further tests within a few days. Superb result. He also had a very calm nature and was very reassuring of my worries. He also put in place a long term monitoring programme for me. Cannot thank him enough.
