The staff that attended to be me on the 05.04.2024 at 1430hrs was a great staff, that shows her dedication and passion for her job. She goes out of her way to support and help the patient. I had a fantastic experience while she was attending to me. I have a white coat syndrome, but she makes me feel at easy that my BP was not all over the place. She is a treasure to the surgery. I wish I meet her in every of my visit. Thank so much for what you do.

  2. Review titled Terrible

Rated 2 stars out of 5

It is impossible to get an appointment online and even harder to get one face-to-face. They won’t allow in advance appointments with my preferred doctor, this has caused me a lot of stress seeing a new doctor every time. Many of the reception staff are rude and unhelpful. To be honest, I’ve never not had a chaotic experience with this GP and I dread having to contact them for anything.

  3. Review titled Poor communication

Rated 2 stars out of 5

No one answering the phones for +35 mins. Slow response to Dr. iQ app request. Can't book an appointment via either, and no available appointments for 2 / 3 weeks when visiting in person. Frustrating.

  6. Review titled Terrible appointment booking process

Rated 2 stars out of 5

The surgery only offers telephone consultations with very broad time ranges (e.g. 9am-12pm on a set date) rather than a specific time. As someone with a job which involves meetings which are difficult to reschedule I can not guarantee my availability for an entire morning on any day of the week. This approach to booking appointments is the opposite of patient centred and increases the likelihood of people missing appointments (and therefore wasting GPs' time). In addition, the practice now uses the 'Dr IQ' app for booking consultations. However, the Dr IQ app is poorly designed, insisting on funnelling users down set paths around certain conditions. If your condition does not fit into one of those categories you are forced to answer a long series of (mostly irrelevant) questions before being able to actually say what you want an appointment for. When you get a response from the practice there is no way to respond to it. For example, I received a response to a request telling me an appointment had been booked for me in a week's time, with a potential time slot of 9am-12pm without being asked if I was available then (which I am not). In order to rectify this I had to call the practice up (spending a long time waiting for an answer). If the practice insists on using Dr IQ it needs to improve the app significantly so that, at a minimum, users can indicate when they are/aren't available so that appointments at times they cannot make aren't booked in without their knowledge.

Dear Patient, Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you have had a negative experience with us, and apologies for any inconvenience or distress this may have caused you. Due the COVID-19 Pandemic we have had to adapt the way in which we provide services to our patients. This is in order for us to ensure that you, other patients and are staff are kept safe. Due to this our patients are only able to book same day telephone consultations. Our Doctors then triage all telephone consultations and assess the needs of each patient which would determine the needs of a face to face at a time and date that suits you. Our admin team are trained to make reasonable adjustments to our appointment booking service, in order to ensure we are accommodating patients with personal constraints. In these circumstances we kindly request our Doctors to call patients before / after a certain time however, we can not provide a specific appointment time due to the nature of the services we provide. We would like to apologies for the issues you have encountered whilst using our Dr iQ app. The Dr iQ app was created during the pandemic in order to provide our patients with added care support. There is a General Enquires option on the app, should your symptoms not meet a certain criteria. We have forwarded your concerns to our app developers, to see how we can make our app more user friendly in the future. I hope this reassures you that we have taken your concerns seriously however should you have any further concerns please do not hesitate to contact us via our practice email. souccg.listerpractice@nhs.net The Lister Practice - Management Team
