Mum visited a doctor he was very caring and very helpful in getting my mum immediate care in hospital and now a care home for her, I will be forever grateful for his help and concern about my mum.

I had a consultation with the surgery pharmacist today to discuss my medication needs and adjust them accordingly. The pharmacist was extremely helpful and discussed my requirements in full, and adjusted where necessary as well as asking if had other medication needs. Fully satisfied with the outcome.

I'm a teacher and getting an appointment term-term can be difficult, but the online booking booking app means I can always book an early appointment in a morning or an out-of-hours or Saturday appointment if needed - I was seen at 6.30pm today. I always have the choice of choosing my doctor, but everyone at The Health Centre, doctors, nurses, receptionists, are all wonderful. I'm always taken seriously, always listened to and always treated as if my concerns are valid and important - this was not my experience at other GP surgeries. If only all GP surgeries were like this.

Dr Chesworth has been extremely helpful and receptive to make positive changes with in the practice. He has taken the time to listen to the things that are meaningful and impact my daughter on a daily basis, by reviewing practice policies and patient care in light of this. We are over the moon with the level of understanding and time and consideration he has given my daughter.

I had appointment with pharmacist who was extremely personable. He answered all my questions, and really helped me. He was very easy to talk to, and I felt very reassured.

The practice has made excellent, very helpful changes - online prescription ordering and appointment booking. Text reminders and follow-up calls from the nurses and pharmacists. The vast majority of appointments are on-time and l never feel rushed. I’m very happy with the service and supporting l’m getting to manage my health conditions. I feel cared for. Thank you.

We really do appreciate the review and it is always good to receive such positive feedback regarding the care and services we offer. There are blood clinics commissioned locally but we understand the waiting times can be quite long for patients. The practice therefore have blood clinics on each day in the morning for our patients to reduce their wait. Blood clinics can only take place in the morning as the Lab collects samples midday only. If this situation changes we would happily review and put on extra clinics. Thanks Jane Goulding – Practice Director

Some major changes happening at this surgery all for the better. I have been registered there for over 25 years. Great how you can now book appointments online via patient access and blood tests too! After struggling at Healthport etc and giving up after waiting hours due to work made appointment online and in and out this morning for blood tests. GP appointment booked online too to review results. Just makes life so much easier and I am now more likely to have bloods done when I need them and not put them off for months as previous when having to attend healthport etc.

Dear Mrs Read - Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review today regarding the changes you have noticed at the practice recently. During COVID we had to remove the online appointments booking facility as we had to screen all calls from patients as per the operational procedures we had to follow. Once this guidance was removed we returned to releasing appointments for online booking. Also following patient feedback and their struggles waiting for blood test appointments as you mention in your review we increased our capacity at the practice to enable us to provide a blood clinic for our patients in the mornings. We are not the commissioned service for Phlebotomy but we felt by offering this service in practice it made a difference to our patients. We really do appreciate your review as we continue to work hard on making improvements were possible.
