    I recently contacted Goodinge surgery regarding routine medical care and submitted a formal complaint both via their website and by email. Although i received an automated confirmation, I was later informed that a proper response would take a further 13 days as the doctor involved was on leave. This was in addition to nearly 10 weeks of waiting for a clinical review—an unreasonable delay for any patient, especially when medical input may be time-sensitive. Communication from the practice has been persistently disappointing. Rather than meaningful updates or engagement, responses are typically automated and offer no clinical resolution. I have experienced similar delays in the past, and previous complaints have taken weeks or even months to be acknowledged or acted upon. This experience is not unique to me. I have seen multiple reviews from other patients reporting similar difficulties—delayed communication, lack of follow-up, and poor coordination between staff. I have also personally witnessed how reception staff have handled requests from patients with urgent needs without appropriate escalation or sensitivity. This is particularly concerning because Goodinge surgery was rated ‘good’ by the Care Quality Commission (cqc) in 2017—a rating that influenced my original decision to register with the practice. however, based on my recent experience and similar feedback from others, the current service quality no longer reflects that standard. Significant staff changes and a decline in management responsiveness since around 2020 appear to have impacted the practice’s ability to deliver consistent, safe, and timely care. I believe the surgery must take this feedback seriously and urgently review its administrative systems, communication processes, and clinical oversight to ensure patients receive the care they deserve.

    There was a lady I spoke to on the phone today regarding medication from the Goodcare practice department. She was a rude receptionist was of zero help and was shouting at a loud manner on the phone. If a patient has a question regarding medication or medical treatment, they need to be answered on the phone and not to be rude. She started to question whether or not I actually got an appointment. We're always happy with the service provided at goodcare never any issues but the receptionist was very rude and loud and Instead of answering the questions I had she was getting annoyed and saying she's not clinically proven.

    I had been with this practice for 6 years, 3 of which had been out of the catchment area. I was advised by my GP that, as I was undergoing NHS funded IVF, they could keep seeing me whilst I underwent my fertility treatment to maintain a consistency of care. I had a miscarriage in January and the two hospitals I was treated at had both supplied reports to be sent to my GP. I emailed the practice explaining I had had a miscarriage and asking how to submit these reports and received a curt reply with simply the email address. I then received a letter, dated the day after, telling me I was no longer a patient at the surgery because I was out of the catchment area. I understand that London surgeries are oversubscribed but I had remained at the surgery under my GP's instruction. To receive such cold correspondence throwing me out of the surgery, the day after I had alerted them to my miscarriage and because of my miscarriage was absolutely awful. It was cold and unfeeling during one of the worst experiences of my life.

    Unprofessional staff who just want to get you out of the door. They don’t care about your welfare, they don’t follow up on test results or explain things to you. Please stay away if you value your health, there are much better options out there. I had blood tests that came back with irregularities and I didn’t find out until I read my file later. My partner had serious health issues and was discharged in a most uncaring way.

    I have had a phenomenal experience with the reception team. They have given me a wonderful experience of support. I had a difficult situation and they were kind, helpful and supportive. Above all they went the extra mile to help me out. I think they must have a very difficult time dealing with low funding and complicated systems that don't always serve them, but they did not make that visible to me for a single minute. I've been with this practice nearly a decade and never had a bad experience. I cannot tell you how highly I recommend this surgery.

    I have been with the Goodinge Practice for one year and a half now. The GPs and administrators catered me for various medical conditions that I had and I think they are truly listening and trying to find solutions for me. There were some occasions where the mental counselling and care were not available at the time but I think it's a nationwide problem. I would recommend people to register with Goodinge and may Goodinge keep up the good work. Best wishes.

    This is the best GP practice that I have been to in London. I have no problem making an appointment. I was recently able to make an appointment on the same day for a condition that I have. The doctors listen to my concerns and I’m always treated respectfully! I feel very lucky to live in the vicinity of Gooding Group Practice.

    This is one of the best practices in London that I’ve ever had. Great and thorough staff, fast appts and so friendly. Both me and my son go here. My son, who is now 21 months has never had to wait more than 24 hours and we’ve not only be given great and thorough care but been offered other services too. I high recommend
