    Our 21 month old son had a chronic condition that suddenly became painful. Reception staff were able to book an appointment a few hours later for us with the GP. However, the GP reviewed his list and the details of the appointment, and called asking if we could come any sooner because it seemed more urgent. We were able to come in, he quickly saw us and determined that we needed to go to the emergency department to meet with the paediatric surgical team there for evaluation and potential emergency surgery. He quickly and calmly communicated details to us, as well as called ahead to give the emergency department our details and provided us with a letter containing all clinical information and his evaluation. This gave us reassurance on next steps and allowed us to be seen efficiently once we arrived in the emergency department. The issue ended up spontaneously resolving upon examination, but the GP's quick, assuring guidance and proactive steps made us feel in control of all potential outcomes and calm throughout the events of the day. We really appreciate the care he took in looking after our son and making us feel informed!

    The receptionist made the time to help me with some equipment and made me feel at reassured and at ease, as I was particularly anxious at the time. Their special care was very appreciated and made my experience less scary. Thank you for being so understanding and caring

    While the receptionist is lovely and appologises and says I'm not the only one complaining, it remains a big issue that it's nigh on impossible to get an appointment at this practice due to their poor staffing levels. Latest saga I've had is that 5 weeks prior to travelling, I've contacted them to get my travel vaccinations, well within the 4 weeks prior to travel stated on their website - but they apparently don't have any slots available for travel vaccinations and have told me to get the vaccinations done privately. Travel vaccinations should be available through the GP on NHS - but not at The Family Practice. They seem to be willing to take the NHS money they get allocated for patients, but are not willing to spend any of that money on the patients; they've also told me that their practice doesn't do the 'over-40s MOT' even though the West of England NHS Trust website says it is the duty of the GP surgeries. Would advise anyone considering joining this practice to look elsewhere.

    Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. I am sorry that you are disappointed with our service. At the moment we are trying to recruit to the nursing team although recruiting the right people to the NHS is often a challenge. It does mean however that this affects the skill set within the remaining team. I hope that we will be able to recruit and therefore offer travel vaccines in the future.     I came for a blood test which I was intensely afraid of. The Nurse who cared for me was caring, understanding and supporting of me throughout all of my panicking and crying. At no point did I feel rushed, embarrassed or made to feel as though I was in anyway being a nuisance which helped me to push on through and let her do what she needed to do. Thank you so much.

    A busy practice in which doctors, nurses, administration and reception are very well coordinated. Reminders are sent for appointments, and they are normally on time.

We work hard behind the scenes to try to keep things as smooth running as possible and I'm delighted that you have felt the benefit of our efforts. Clinicians always try to work to time and have to balance the immediate needs of the patients with urgent problems with that of timekeeping. Patient safety is always the priority and therefore they sometimes run behind but we do try to keep patients informed and also to assist to try to get back on time.     I am so appreciative of everyone at the Family Prcatice in Bristol. Despite their huge stresses, not enough staff and limited resources, I have always been able to get an appointment, speak to the right person and be given kind and helpful advice. Thank you.

    My appointment was made at short notice, and I saw one of the GPs whom I had only come across once before. I was very grateful to be given the appointment. The GP was extremely competent, and I am hoping that once I have the results of blood tests, I will have a diagnosis.

    Amazing Gp practice. Kind and caring staff, inc drs, nurses, pharmacists, receptionists. Always go above and beyond to help. Very sensible and great variety of apt options. I prefer the phone apts personally.

    I have faced increasing health risks since being diagnosed with a cardiac condition and undergoing kidney surgery some 5 years ago and more recently testing as pre-diabetic. In the last 12 months though, I have become very appreciative of the proactive health care and screening provided by my local GP Team. I have undergone a number of investigatory scans, blood tests etc to diagnose potential risks and issues. During this period I have been impressed with the efficiency and proactive attention of my GP who has kept me informed of results and diagnosis at every stage and the support of the rest of Practice team in arranging blood tests and follow up whenever necessary. At a time when much of our daily health care is by necessity, delivered online or remotely, it has been gratifying to witness first-hand how this can function proactively and effectively.

    A very comprehensive consultation. The doctor looked at me holistically rather than just focusing on my main medical condition which I found very refreshing. Clear recommendations for the future. Reasonable time keeping
