    After 120 calls from 8:00 to get through to the surgery then put on hold for 10 mins to b told there are no appointments available, by 8:35 ,for a patient to see a dr urgently has cause anxiety and stress to get an appointment. I believe is poor practice .

    I have visited the practice on 3rd Jan with my daughter and seen a Locum GP. I’ve explained that my daughter was suffering with chronic illness and recently it had been deteriorated. Rather than doing any physical examination, no tests he have list 100s food to avoid. Hence, my daughter condition didn’t improve and we had to make another appointment. This time another GP has taken right actions for a diagnosis. The second visit would’ve been save if the first GP had done his job properly.

    I am absolutely furious! I rang up on Friday 31st April to make an appointment as always I ensure I ring at 8am on the dot. I went from an engaged tone, to welcome to the dawes family practice please choose from the following options, select 1 engaged rings off I do this several times when at 8.17am the phone finally starts ringing. Relieved that I am finally going to get through only to hear all our agents are busy at the moment please ring back later. Are you actually serious ?! When I did eventually get to speak to someone at 8.37am I was told that the doctor I had asked to see had no appointments left and to ring back on Monday. Well I am here on Monday 3rd April 2023 again made sure I was ready 8am on the dot and all of the above has occurred. I am still currently waiting in a queue at 8.29am baring in mind that at 8.02am I was told that I was number 5 in the queue . Now I will be lucky to even get an appointment at all. It is absolutely disgraceful! Especially when you are so poorly!!!!

    Following over 4 decades of my family being patients with the Dawes partners and then evolving with the existing partners we were forced to leave. This was no reflection on GP’s at the Practice who had provided excellent care but due to misinformation provided by the management. After following the complaints procedure we were left with no alternative but to leave. Despite receiving an apology for their mistake, which was in relation to ‘catchment patient boundaries’ they were unwilling to rescind and this caused my family extreme stress and upset. The Practice manager needs to address her working practices and provide clear and comprehensive training for her staff.
