    I rang today for an appointment at Huntington for anxiety attacks I was sobbing on the phone and was told 15th march earliest, this is disgusting for mental health. I rang back they said come to Cannock to see duty doctor I got there in a state and it was an hour wait. I asked for a buzzer so I could sit in the car and the receptionist said why do you need that, I am not going to explain my condition in a full surgery very rude. I ended up leaving as my anxiety would not let me wait. I have resorted to ringing the Samaritans just for some help. This doctors is so bad now.

    Dear Patient, thank you for your recent feedback. Please accept our sincere apologies for the experience that you have had with our Practice. We do make patients aware that if you have an appointment with the Duty Doctor you may have to wait due to the uncertainty of the reasoning of why Patients are receiving urgent care, we can't predict how long each urgent consultation is going to take. We do have buzzers available to sit in your car while you wait, so I will highlight this with this team to make sure all staff are aware that this should be an option. We now have two Mental Health Practitioners working at the Practice, we hope that this can improve the service we offer and may be an option for you if you need it in the future. If you have any more feedback or have any suggestions on how we can improve the service that we offer please do let us know by telephone 01543 435390 or via letter/ email thecollierpractice@nhs.net.

    My husband attended A&E Saturday. Has badly cut his finger and has a fracture. Told to phone for an appointment with nurse to change dressing on Tuesday, so I rang Monday but no appointments for over a week? I explained he needs dressing changed due to possible infection but told to go to Samuel Johnson in Lichfield, ok if you can get there. Can't believe you have two surgeries but no available appointments with a nurse for over a week. I have been with this surgery since 1985 it used to be good so what happened?

    I am very sorry that you have had this experience at the practice. Unfortunately, one of our practice nurses left recently and her replacement has had to give three months' notice. I have tried to cover all of the clinics but this is not always possible, therefore we occasionally have to signpost patients to other services. One of our nurses has agreed to do some extra sessions this week so i would be grateful if you could contact me on Wednesday morning to arrange an appointment in the practice for your husband as soon as possible. Thank you, Practice Manager.

    I was prescribed medication over 6 months ago, My symptoms came back and required a repeat prescription, The extremely unhelpful woman on the phone took much gratification in telling me I can't speak to anyone for 4 weeks,even after telling them I'm bleeding, in pain and need it asap This branch really needs to replace or retain there staff, Iv now have no choice but to seek private health care due the the incompetence of this practice. This is only the lastest issue iv had with these people, I'd be here all day writing about how they fob anyone under 30 off for OAPs

    My call was dealt with professionally within 10 minutes. Emergency appointment booked for same day with GP. The practice manage my multiple healthcare needs very well. Thanks.

    I got notification regarding a change in inhaler, and to what inhaler, I emailed in my reservations having had the chnage before, but suggested that i try it, the inhlaer got ordered, without a response, on emailing back regarding the build quality of the new inhaler, and it getting blocked, aswell as having to use even more of it and a request to change back or indeed being happy to have a conversations regarding it, ive had not comunications back, ive chased 3 times, theres no direct contact for the practice manager. Its not great that communications are ignored, and the stress its causing in not having a viable working inhaler, can someone at least get in touch, the doctors at this place are very good and ive not had many bad experiences, here, but this poor communication isnt great, if someone could contact me that woudl be good.

    Thank you for your comments. We value all patient feedback. Unfortunately the Practice Manager was unavailable on the day that you requested to speak to her. I do hope that you feel that his matter has now be rectified following a phone call with the Practice Manager on 15.11.22, if you do not feel it has please contact the Practice Manager.

    I attended for a coil removal and refit and a cervical screening test. The procedures were carried out by a Practice Nurse at the Huntington branch and I was quickly put at ease and reassured by her friendly nature. The procedures themselves, whilst never pleasant were undertaken with care, quickly and painlessly, the appointment couldn't have gone any better and I really appreciated the care I received.

  7. Review titled Long wait for phone to be answered

    Why is getting through by phone so difficult. Over 2 minutes of advice before you choose number 2 to speak to reception. Number 4 in queue but having to wait nearly half an hour to be answered. Is there only one person answering calls?
