  1. Review titled Appalling service

Rated 1 star out of 5

Do not go to this surgery. The service there is appalling. Already towards the end of COVID, I made an appointment and went to the surgery only to be told once I was there and through the door, that the consultation would be on the phone, so I had my consultation standing on the sidewalk in from of the surgery. Then, once COVID was over, it was the only surgery still giving phone consultations when everyone I knew had face-to-face consultations with their GP. And just now, we urgently needed the doctor to sign a form for my son to be referred to a specialist. I sent the form to them yesterday Thursday midday. I was told nothing else. I rang again today as I had not heard anything back, only to be told that I needed to pay "a small fee" (£45!!!) to get the doctor's signature but that I would get the letter before the end of the day. At about 5 pm, I still didn't have the form emailed back to me so I rang again. I have now been told that the form is still with the doctor and I won't get the form back before Tuesday or Wednesday. Up to 4 days for a signature! Unbelievable! No accountability whatsoever. Meanwhile, my son is in a great deal of pain but that doesn't seem to make any impression on anyone I spoke to. They just told me to go to A&E... which I did yesterday! (And yes, they have a lot of patients and a lot of work - don't we all?). Yet, I can't understand why it would take so long to get a signature on the bottom of a form. I am fuming.

  2. Review titled Making appointment frustration

Rated 3 stars out of 5

Was in centre having just seen nurse who advised I should make a face-to-face appointment to have a skin spot looked at, went to reception and told I could only phone for an appointment by the receptionist who would take the call . . .!

Very professional and understanding. Took my problem seriously and offered me great advice. I am now recovering well and have made an appointment in November 2022 to see the doctor again.

  4. Review titled Frustrating experience contacting GP surgery

by Purply - Posted on 30 May 2022

I have been trying to ring all day from 8:30 to 2:00 on Monday. For the first 2 hours the line was engaged. Then there is an automated voice which says you cannot visit the surgery if you have coronavirus! I am trying to call for a repeat prescription and another query. I have been on the phone all day. The website says the surgery is open so I am very frustrated that I cannot ring to ask a simple query. I have wasted so much time on this that I feel like giving up.
