  1. Review titled Rudest Reception Staff

Rated 1 star out of 5

The amazing doctors at this surgery are completely let down by the reception staff. They are the rudest staff you will ever meet and range from harsh and cold to unhelpful to offensive. One receptionist told me to go to a walk in centre when I had told her I was unable to walk. Trying to get an appointment at any GP is like gold dust but this one is especially awful. Even if you phone at 8am on the dot, you won't get an appointment.

They are taking new patients, yet they can't cater for the patients that they have. Try phoning for an appointment and you are told to go to a walking centre.

  3. Review titled Awful, inadequate GP surgery

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Scott Ives - Posted on 10 July 2023

Been with the surgery all my life, 44years. Had a letter today saying the address I'm living at falls outside of the surgery boundary in milton regis (even though I lived over a mile further away for 8 years) Haven't managed to get an appointment for aprox 7 years anyhow. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

  4. Review titled Can't get a GP appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

    by R Dobbie - Posted on 19 July 2023

I registered as a patient with the Chestnuts Surgery over 10 years ago. I have never been able to get one single GP appointment despite numerous attempts at various times over the last 10 years. I've tried everything reasonably possible: phoning at 8.00am, walking into the building in person, all to no avail. In the end I have always been forced to make alternative arrangements for my healthcare. Recently I once again needed to see a GP urgently. After unsuccessfully trying various approaches to get a GP appointment at Chestnuts Surgery, staff suggested to me that I download the My GP app in order to book. I followed this advice and downloaded/registered My GP but after many attempts to get an appointment on the app, I simply receive the folowing message: "Unfortunately, there are no appointments available for booking online at your practice." In summary, I have been registered at the Chestnuts Surgery for 10 years and have never managed to see a GP.

  5. Review titled Extremely helpful surgery

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I don't know why this surgery keeps getting bad reviews. Unfortunately every GP surgery is pretty much the same at the moment and it's a struggle with getting appointments. I have always found the receptionists extremely helpful. I have just phoned them regarding an issue and the receptionist was very helpful and sorted my problem there and then. Might I suggest instead of moaning at them, as it's not their fault if there are no appointments left or your medication isn't ready, just be polite. It might not get you an appointment or whatever straight away but at least it won't spoil their day they have a hard enough job as it is. Great surgery and very helpful.
