  1. Review titled Can I book to see the GP ? “No”

Rated 1 star out of 5

What sort of GP surgery will not let you boom to see the GP - even several weeks in advance ? - “ ring that day at 0800am to book that day or you can’t see a GP” - this clearly smacks of second rate officius poor NHS service - if there was another local GP I would move - let’s be clear - if you do get to speak to any GP that are great ! But it is next to impossible for people who work for a living to get a booking - Shocking policy

Thank you for your review. GP's are no longer the only clinician available within Primary Care. As we are a small surgery, our team of three salaried GPs operate as the 'On-Call' clinician on the day. This means they are the emergency doctor and their appointments are on-the-day only. Most appointments do not require a 'GP' review and can be dealt with by other members of the clinical team such as, ANP's who can prescribe and refer. We have a full team of trained ANPs, Pharmacists, and Paramedics who all have pre-bookable appointments up to three months in advance. GP appointments will always be offered where they are required, however in order to retain our capacity for patients who do need to see a GP, ailments which can be dealt with by other members of the team will be signposted to them.

  2. Review titled Not designed for real life

Rated 1 star out of 5

The solution to everything is to queue up at 0800 in the appointment lottery. If you're retired or unemployed it might be fine. But do you have to be at work at that time? Doesn't matter, queue up. If you don't get through the lottery today? Simple, queue up again tomorrow. 19th century practices, no apparent ability to do solve any of the problems it creates.

  3. Review titled A positive experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

My GP referred me to the surgery. Have just had my appointment and must say it was a positive experience. The reception staff were very nice and helpful. I was seen by a doctor within 5 minutes of arriving. The doctor was very pleasant and professional. I was prescribed medication, that I collected from the pharmacy next door. From entering the surgery to leaving the pharmacy took no more than 25 minutes. After reading the previous reviews I felt relieved to have had a positive experience and decided to leave feedback.

  4. Review titled Who’s the midwife?!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 04 September 2022

Terrible service! I am 32 weeks pregnant trying to get a blood test for my 28 week check for 5 weeks. I have been hitting brick wall every time I call. Rude receptionists who claim that my midwife only works once every 2 weeks in the surgery. They dun’t know her, or her name’. I have finally got round to booking my bloods but not for another 2 weeks…which will take me up to 34 weeks. This is shocking as my last pregnancy was high risk with preeclampsia and anaemia. I have all symptoms of what I had before and I am currently hoping for the best

  5. Review titled Awful Surgery

Rated 1 star out of 5

If you value your health - stay away! Rated "INADEQUATE" by the Care Quality Commission. Wish I'd known that before and I would never of bothered with them. Long wait to get through to reception. 6 week wait to get an appointment - although urgent. My previous surgery would of seen me within days. Just avoid if you value your health. Reported to surgery management who had a couldn't care less attitude and couldn't help attitude. AVOID!
