Review titled Excellent
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 11 April 2025
My mother was suffering with symptoms that could possibly have been something sinister. She completed the online e consult form and received an appt this morning to have a review with the doctor. My mother told me the doctor was thorough and was very reassured. My parents only consult the gp practice when there is a need to and have received attention in whichever way it has been provided given the constraints the nhs is under. I would like to ask other patients to use all available resources that nhs gp practices provide.

Review titled Extremely Poor Service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Aram - Posted on 15 January 2025
I have been a patient at this GP since July 2024، and my experience has been consistently disappointing. Despite numerous visits and complaints about persistent tinnitus, I have yet to receive any proper attention or diagnosis. There seems to be no consistent doctor available, and each visit feels like starting over with no progress. The reception staff are unfriendly and unhelpful. Whenever I call, no one answers the phone, even after trying for several consecutive days. When I visit the clinic in person, the assistance is minimal, and I often leave feeling frustrated and ignored. I also requested a blood test back in July 2024, and to this day, I am still waiting for an appointment. This is unacceptable and shows a lack of regard for patient care. Overall, this GP has failed to provide even the basic level of service expected. I would not recommend it to anyone seeking reliable healthcare. Suggested Improvements: Improve phone responsiveness and hire more staff to manage calls. Train receptionists to be welcoming and professional. Ensure timely follow-ups for patients with ongoing or severe issues. Streamline appointment systems to reduce waiting times.

Review titled impossible to get an appointment online!
Rated 1 star out of 5
by jennifer - Posted on 20 January 2025
I have been with this surgery for 30 years, and over the years they have implemented an online system that should make it easier to book appointments online but in the last 6 months it is literally impossible to book online for an appointment, referral, medication request, even a fit note! i have been trying to book an appointment all week and it just says that service is not available and to try at 8 am. what's the point i might as well call at 8am like the old days. what's the point in an online system that has hours as rigid as the actual building?!

Review titled Amazing service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Cassie Bester - Posted on 19 November 2024
Everyone who was working yesterday afternoon was amazing. I took my 2 month old in as he had a cough and rapid breathing. The doctor saw him and said he needed to go to hospital. They rang an ambulance which came quickly. While we were waiting the deputy practice manager checked in on me along with a nurse and the doctor I had seen. This was so reassuring when I was in a bit of a panic.

Review titled Understaffed but my experiences have all been good
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Trish - Posted on 29 May 2024
My latest appointment was yesterday. By the time I got through, there were only phone appointments available. The nurse practitioner got through to me in the afternoon and then stayed on late to see me at the surgery. I've always found the staff prepared to go the extra mile despite being overwhelmed by patient numbers.

Dear Patient, Thank you for taking the time to leave this feedback. We presume you are referring to a recent smear test that you had at the surgery. Yes, many of our younger patients are often nervous to have the smear test for the first. Our wonderful nurses manage the process and minimise any discomfort or anxiety as much as possible. Please spread the word and encourage friends and family to have their test done as soon as it's due. Take care from the team at the Argyle Surgery.

Review titled Brilliant team at the Argyle Surgery
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Jo - Posted on 10 August 2023
The whole team are hugely appreciated by us. For the last 12 years we have really needed their help with a health condition in the family. We think they do a really challenging job and we appreciate the doctors, nurses and the receptionist team and practice manager. They probably don’t hear appreciation enough. We find that they are really “on it” but with care and kindness. They are able to listen and work with us. Thanks to all of you. Has felt like you have had our backs. We could not be more grateful through a difficult time in recent years.

Thank you Jo for you fantastic feedback. It's true, although we get a lot of positive feedback in person, few people go online and leave comments about their positive experiences. So thank you for taking the time. Our team try their very best for our patients. We wish you the best of health for the future. Take care from the team at the Argyle Surgery.
