Many thanks to the wonderful people within the Stony Stratford Medical centre. Over the course of the last 24hours it was really nice to see such sympathetic and smiling support during my medical centre visit on Monday 25th March for a minor operation by nurse practitioner and great support by the equally efficient reception staff for the follow up visit today! It’s so nice to see such a good team of caring people working so well together for the benefit of their patients!

I had a consultation over the phone then I was given an appointment couple weeks later to talk about the contraceptive pill. The nurse was unable to calculate my BMI so she sent me away, nothing prescribed and no sympathy whatsoever. I am unsure whether I will be contacted, since she checked my phone number was correct. I had been weighed, blood pressure taken but once I said my height she was unable to calculate my BMI. I am unsure how long my next appointment may take to get booked, since they are always full up with appointments. Really frustrating.

The medical staff seem helpful and nice, but the administration around the running of the practice is poor at best; it has not always been like this. It's only since COVID it has gone downhill. They have lost referral letters causing months of delay in a heart scan, Canceled vaccinations at an hour's notice going against the NHS advice, and refused to support or even talk to an ill patient away from home while they were ill with an infection. If you can get through the admin the medical professionals are great. My wife and I have been forced to go private due to losing confidence in this practice.
