    Recently had to attend for my vitamin B12 injection, nurse called for me on time and was in and out within a few minutes. Have been with this practice for over 30 year and chose to stay registered here even when I moved from Forest Hall to Killingworth.

    I was in and out in 3 minutes. It was incredibly well organised. Would recommend to anyone looking for a no fuss, no hanging around jab.

    Requested female doctor For issue needed double appt. Rang 3 weeks before appt so could book while I am on Annual leave as I am a nurse. Told there was no appts at forest hall until 4/5 weeks . Offered appt during day but would be at work. Arranged to ring back so could book time off work to get appt . Rang back again offered Battlehill appt , booked but then cancelled by surgery as queen funeral. Message left on my answer phone to ring back and get another appt. Again given appt in Battlehill10 days later. Why do we register with a GP within area that you live but can’t get appt with the GP you are registered at. Every time on telephone receptionists very pleasant but how difficult is it to see a GP, for someone who rarely sees a GP ( thank goodness) If forest hall is over populated with pts is it worth changing GP’s? Feel disheartened and upset

    Thanks for your feedback. We suffered having to cancel over 500 appointments due to the Queens Funeral and are very aware the problems this caused for patients as it created a lot of backlog for staff. Unfortunately we were not provided any support to open on that day. Whilst we are trying to reduce waiting times it can be very difficult if someone wants a double appointment (half an hour) with a GP of a specific gender outside of normal working hours or in a specific week (when we may have no female GPs working as we cannot allocate annual leave to staff dependant on their gender) As such we also fund extra sessions collectively across practices in North Tyneside to help with these sort of issues - we had these hours in September provided mainly at Battle Hill Health Centre and share the funding with other practices. Since 1st October 2022 more hours are now collectively provided at the Oxford Centre. These locations were picked as they are only 10 minutes by car or taxi away and also located on some bus routes. Collective working within GP organisations called Primary Care Networks is a core part of the NHS plan which all practices in North Tyneside are signed up to. There will almost certainly be more, not less, appointments delivered out of these shared services moving forward. Sincerely Dr Lunn

    Really good e consult service. Always answered promptly and referred / speak to someone if need be it’s great as I’m really busy otherwise. In person appointments difficult to get though.

    Thanks for your feedback - e consult certainly can speed things up as it enables people to deal with quick problems quickly. We're struggling with almost twice as many requests for appointments now compared to 3 years ago. Unfortunately without more staff (which requires funding) we are doing our best to find new ways to offer as many appointments as we can.

    Swift service, some staff don't have a good phone manner and seem to be rushing through the call and not really listening. Other staff on other hand are very attentive, are a pleasure to talk to and you come away feeling valued and confident in the practice. I have a doctor's call tomorrow at 8.15am!

    Since joining Forest Hall Health Centre the staff have all been so helpful and prompt whenever I have needed anything. Couldn't ask for a better practice.

Its a real struggle in primary care at the minute (as well as the NHS) We've had an explosion of demand which far outstrips what we are able to offer. Its coupled with extra work due to backlogs in other pasts of the system. We know its sometimes hard for people to get through and be seen and this is demoralizing for the staff as well as the patients. We're trying our best and are striving to do better still! Dr Lunn

    As the appointment was after hours the reception was not manned. There was concise signage to indicate to wait and someone would come. My appointment was a few minutes late but that gave me time to use the free health check machine.

    Thanks for your feedback. We've tried moving to an unmanned reception desk at times which means we can have more people answering the phones / calling patients. The health check machine is a new trial and we hope it will improve access Forest Hall Team

    Attended for ear syringing. Nurse was welcoming, warm and considerate. Procedure explained before commencement. Procedure quick, painless and effective. Reassurance given throughout. Advice given at end of procedure to prevent future problems. Thoroughly positive experience

    I have always been treat with the utmost curtousy, from all the receptionists the GPs and the nurses. They make you feel better sometimes just discussing your problems, ailments ect. The practice is always kept very clean an tidy aswell. Which in this day and age is important. Thank you to you all.

    Needed ears syringing and my doctors surgery did not offer this service. I was referred to Forest Hall surgery who completed this procedure in 2 visits. Helpful and friendly nurse
