I have been trying to get hold of them for a review and a sick note as my workplace does not accept back dated sick notes they had an appointment in almost a month as the receptionist said and she was not very remorseful or empathetic. Also I felt so stuck with something the Gp could have just done in 10 minutes taking almost a month to do . It was very dissapointing as I now have to explain the situation to my manager being in a very tight corner and my manager saying she does not accept back dated sick notes. Leaves me very frustrated

Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback it is important to the practice and the service we provide. I am sorry that you have had difficulty obtaining an appointment. You are able to book a routine appointment in advance as well as on the day. You should not be waiting a month for a GP appointment therefore we do book up to two weeks in advance. I am sorry that you have experienced difficulty with your sick note. Please contact me to discuss this so that this can be resolved and any issues around this. Thank you, Heather Johnson Practice Manager

  2. Review titled Nightmare to deal with

Getting an appointment is a nightmare, fastest finger at 8am for days on end. Don’t bother going down because they aren’t allowed to book an appointment for you unless you’re on the phone. Attitude of reception staff isn’t great. Finally got a phone appointment and was asked to attend the surgery. Left in the waiting room for 40 mins because the receptionist who was happily sat on her phone having the odd puff on her vape had forgotten to tell the Dr I was actually there. Repeat prescriptions are put luck to if they are actually done. If they get refused they never call to tell you, instead leaving you to try and collect it only to then find out it was declined. Would a quick text message to say contact us be that hard to send? Why they haven’t opted for an E consult or even a proper out of hours service not the dreaded 111 is beyond me and is leaving them failing their patients.

Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback it is important to the practice and the service we provide. I am sorry that you have had difficulty obtaining an appointment. You are able to book a routine appointment in advance as well as on the day and extended service that we offer as we are aware of the challenges patients were facing. We have switched from e-consult to patches and all the details can be found on our website where you can put a request through. If you would like help with this please feel free to speak to a member of reception who will guide you through this. Regarding your medication, we have clinical pharmacist appointments available each day and would discuss your medication requirements with you. I would advise that you contact reception to book a review with the clinical pharmacist to resolve this. I am sorry that you felt that the attitude of the reception team isnt acceptable and that you were waiting for your appointment. I will investigate this and if you could please contact me to discuss this further so that I can obtain further details to enable me to undertake a full investigation on 0151 244 4530. Thank you, Heather Johnson Practice Manager

  3. Review titled More chance of winning the lottery than getting seen

Rated 1 star out of 5

Having to ring up at 8am every morning then to finally get through to someone after 10am to get told they have no more slots is ridiculous. Have to ring up at the right time and be lucky to get an appointment. No way your health appointments should be treated as luck. Shambles of a practice, currently looking else where.

  4. Review titled Disgusting

Tried for months to get an appointment. Ring every single day at 8am, cannot get through until around 815-825am and always nothing left. Will not book you in advance and tell you to just keep trying. Whilst trying to get an appointment my symptoms became worse resulting in a hospital visit which could have been easily avoided by one GP appointment. Note on my patient notes stated that I needed to have something done by 8.6.22 and no Doctor followed this up or thought to tell me. I found out myself yesterday by asking for my information. I am disgusted as an NHS worker myself that they could leave people in these positions. I understand everyone's under a lot of pressure but why are they accepting new patients when they can't even keep up/look after their current ones! Don't put yourself through it by joining this practice. The compassion is non-existent, and it is impossible to be seen.
