Reception personnel pro active in organising an appointment with the appropriate clinician. Waiting time acceptable. The Dr seen was succinct with due regard to my symptoms then diagnosis. ( I prefer this approach) . I was invited to take part in a research study. This had relevance to my condition. I Accepted. I was introduced to the Research Manager. She was proficient and amenable in approach. She clearly explained the rationale of the ‘Study’ , its requirements , what was expected of me and my participation and also the legalities involved including data protection. The study lasted 14 days . I was informed of its findings fairly swiftly after its conclusion by the Research Managers assistant. All in all a worthwhile experience and would be happy to undergo further research studies if my symptoms have relevance.

I have had an extremely positive experience of participation in research into Respiratory Syncytial Virus and the possibility of immunizing against it. The most recent meeting has taken placeat St Bartholomew's Health Centre. The purpose of the study has been to assess the efficacy of vaccination against the virus amongst people in their 60s. The comprehensive examination and clear explanations at the recent research session showed the professionalism and pleasantness of the staff running the trial. The vaccination clearly is effective. I valued the careful tests and excellent communication through a long session.

I am always pleased to take part as a subject in medical research. I believe the importance of medical research cannot be overestimated Recently I took part in a research project being organised by St Bartholomew's medical centre. It was made very clear to me what participation in the research would involve. There was also ample opportunity to ask any questions I had. I believe my time spent in this research is very well spent

The two young ladies I saw recently for a research study about blood pressure were absolutely amazing, I can't thank them enough for their care, understanding and attention to detail during the appointment time. I took up over an hour and didn't once feel rushed or foolish for asking silly questions. What an amazing service to have off our doorstep, I know other nearby surgeries do not offer patients the opportunity to contribute to medical knowledge and I really had no idea of the amount of projects the practice is working on. Amazing really given the pressures on the health service. Thank you for making me feel at ease. I will definitely take part in other studies that you are helping with.
