I wanted an appointment to see a Doc, but didn't want to request this online (it didn't go very smoothly the last time I did this), so I called in at The Hub, and requested to see a Doctor. I was told that I would be called back that day. I was called back within the hour, and then given an appointment to call in within an hour. Very impressed! I was seen, and offered the chance to give every sample possible, which I was happy to do obviously. One sample came back with some adverse results, and was given a follow up appointment, then a referral for a colonoscopy. I was advised that the referral had been submitted the next day by text, and I was then called the following day to book me in the next week!! I can't ask for better service when there might be a need. Very impressed! Oh, and I have another referral appointment for an ultrasound scan in another week or so. When you are in need, the NHS is brilliant. Additionally, the staff at the Hub, and then at the Royal Cornwall Hospital at Treliske were superb. Thank you very much.

I have been waiting for an appointment since July, finally offered an appointment which was then cancelled the day before by text. Called surgery to rearrange and told I need to wait for the booking team to call me, promised call that day. Two days later, no call and still no appointment. The Dr I saw in July said to avoid stress!!

After spending 20 mins Mon & 30 mins Tues calling St Austell Health Care, I received a call from a practitioner, asking me to bring urine sample in by 6.30pm ( I suffer with kidney failure, they said they would dip urine then send to hospital for culture, also discussed the time it’s sent to hospital, I had missed it for that day as it’s early afternoon) juggled work to do this, dropped it off after completing all the info on label, get to Drs, asked to complete another form to assist already completed urine bottle, received a call from Dr, 30 mins later saying sorry it’s been sent to hospital without dipping first!!! He said he could prescribe me antibiotics regardless, I find this totally unacceptable, I’m not a regular at the Drs and avoid going at all costs, this has really not encouraged me to change my opinion of St Austell Health Care, So disappointed!!
