Have been coming to this surgery for quite a while. Last time was about two weeks ago. The Doctor was very understanding. He put my mind at ease by explaining everything to me clearly.

  2. Review titled Repeat prescription fiasco

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Two days ago I ordered a repeat prescription for Ibuprofen and Enalapril Maleate. Today I went to collect the order from my local pharmacy and was told that a number of patients had not received a repeat prescri[option and I was one of them. The pharmacy was not informed as to why repeat prescriptions were not being honoured and patients had no idea what was going on. Very kindly, the pharmacy provided me with some medication to help me while the medical centre got its act together. My medication is for high blood pressure, type two diabetes and kidney problems so it is imperative that I receive my medication. I have now been told that one GP at the practice has gone; but how can this be allowed to affect the service of repeat prescriptions? There are other GPs and qualified staff who can deal with repeat prescriptions and are part of the team.

  3. Review titled Are they closed for business?

Rated 1 star out of 5

For the second week in a row, repeat prescriptions are not honoured and no explanation is forthcoming from the surgery to either the pharmacy or the long-suffering patient. Those of us running out of our much-needed medicine are longer receiving a duty of care from this surgery. I telephoned the surgery twice yesterday and was number fifteen in line, when I reached number one the system cut me off. This is not acceptable. The contractor managing this surgery has let everyone down by not ensuring that information has been communicated to patients and pharmacies, by failing to ensure that telephones are answered within industry standards and by failing to make sure that duty of care is a priority and provided. Service levels at this surgery have finally reached rock bottom. And it can only get worse as repeat prescriptions pile up and staff have to play a game of catch-up as new repeat prescriptions are requested.

  4. Review titled Very bad Gp

Rated 1 star out of 5

The receptionist very rude and an friendly they are useless. Always don't have appointment, the only thing the saying go A&E or call 111 That's ridiculous two weeks now tried to get an appointment for my disabled sister and they just hang the phone or they don't have an appointment. I am struggling with them like nightmare for me if I need to call And today I was looking for different Gp to register her.

  5. Review titled Duty of care takes a holiday

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Keith Waterhouse - Posted on 23 August 2022

On the 18th of august I requested a repeat prescription via my local pharmacy and today the 23rd of august I went to collect my prescription but there was no authorisation. Whilst there I ordered some more items and then went to the medical centre where I was informed that the person who deals with clinical had been off sick so the repeat prescription had not been authorised. I made it quite clear that more than forty-eight hours had passed and that a duty of care towards other patients and me had not been given. One member of staff goes sick, and duty of care takes a holiday because there is no one to fill the gap, I returned to the local pharmacy where to my surprise the repeat request I made half an hour before was not only fulfilled but there was stuff there that I hadn't ordered! But still no original order from 18th August; very surreal. I worked in industries where your client does not pay you if you don't feel the gap for absence and whatever happened to teamwork whereby the GP signs and authorised repeat prescriptions like they used to? It is not acceptable that a.t medics have no plan in place to ensure that duty of care is met for all patients.

  6. Review titled Too many cooks spoil the broth

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Keith Waterhouse - Posted on 16 May 2022

Last week a pharmacist from the practice telephoned me in regard to medication that had been supplied erratically at best. This was the third pharmacist to contact me in four weeks. On the previous two occasions, the problem was said to be sorted out and won't occur again—clearly famous last words. The problem with this is simple: three pharmacists should not be involved for a month trying to sort one problem out; too many cooks spoil the broth and I don't get my medication. It is unacceptable all round and does not help provide a more patient focused service.

  7. Review titled Health-dont care

Rated 1 star out of 5

Contacted GP for long time ongoing mental health issues through their famous DrIQ app. The copy paste response I received literally said: "Dear Patient, thanks for using Dr IQ. Please visit urgent care or call 111 for emergency consultation. Alternatively please send the request at 7am Monday to Friday". Seems like mental health issues including suicidal thoughts are not a problem on Tuesday at 1pm. Atleast not their problem...
