Rated 4 stars out of 5

She was very good with the blood test, she was nice because not being a fan of needles during the blood sampling she was talking to me trying to distract me. Thank you

Had a blood test this morning with the nurse I was so nervous as I hate needles. Nurse was gentle and very quick. Painless, quick experience. Thank you!

Review titled Unprofessional
Rated 1 star out of 5

I have called 3 days in a row to make an appointment for my self. I get put in a queue going from position 7 down to 1 the phone rings ok e and cuts off leaving me no option to call back and wait again. There is a option to hang up and be called back but the staff are very unprofessional as they call back with 1 ring and hang up making it look like they’ve called back when in reality they’ve just given you a missed call with out giving you the opportunity to pick up the call

Great blood test, I am afraid of needles and was anxious on doing the blood test, but they made it very easy for me and reassured me along the way. Made the experience very comforting and quick.

Review titled GP practice failed to download heart monitor readings
Rated 1 star out of 5
by parvin akther - Posted on 04 March 2025
GP referred on 27th Jan 2025, I was given me a heart monitor which I used and recorded my heart for 24 hours however, I couldn't get the results and was given another appointment to do it again because you hadn't downloaded the information. Why do I have to do this again at my inconvenience, who's mistake is it? I have to get another day work do to this again.

Review titled Worst
Rated 1 star out of 5

I had a terrible experience at St Andrew Surgery in East London. Despite seeing multiple doctors for ongoing health concerns, I was not taken seriously and had to repeat my symptoms over and over again without receiving any proper care or support. One doctor even dismissed my condition, suggesting that I could continue working despite feeling unwell. Following this advice only made my situation significantly worse. I also had to push for basic tests to be done, as the doctors were reluctant to investigate further. After weeks of no improvement, I went to A&E, where the doctor immediately recognized the seriousness of my condition and advised that I needed an urgent referral to a specialist. However, when I contacted my GP for this referral, I was given a waiting time of a week—despite the A&E doctor stressing that it needed to happen immediately. After persistently requesting an earlier appointment, I was finally seen, only to be asked to repeat everything yet again. I also had to chase them multiple times just to receive a copy of my referral. The overall service at this surgery is unacceptable. The reception staff are rude and unhelpful, and the level of care is shockingly poor. Given the number of similar complaints in other reviews, it’s clear that this practice is failing its patients. I would not recommend this GP surgery to anyone and strongly believe it needs to be investigated.

Review titled I wouldn’t recommend - (St Paul’s way)
Rated 2 stars out of 5

I’m usually very satisfied by the quality of the service provided by the NHS, but for the first time in years I feel like I need to post a review to incite changes. I understand that working for the NHS must be tiring, nevertheless I don’t think it stops anyone to keep a professional tone when they address a patient. I felt like from the moment they called my name I was bothering the practitioner, the tone and body language wasn’t aligning with professional standards and I didn’t feel comfortable telling every details about a complex injury which I think important when it comes to physiotherapy.

Review titled Not sure my baby is safe within this practice
by Issa - Posted on 26 October 2024
Last Thursday, I have been dealing with a recurrent issue with St Andrews Health Centre and their lack of professionalism and compassion. I have a 8 months baby with numerous allergies. My baby can only drink Aptamil Pepti 2 for which I have a repeated prescription with this clinic. Unfortunately they only provide 2 boxes of formula per prescription so I have to request it appropriately every 8-10 days. The problem is that the staff does not take any of those prescription requests seriously although it is for a baby. This week I have been requesting the formula for 3 days with no answer. I have called and send them multiple online queries with no answer. This is the only milk that my baby can drink, plus it is never available anywhere near me and the pharmacy has to order it which takes another 24 hours. On Thursday, at 1:40pm I have called the GP again to explain the situation and explain that I had requested it for 3 days and the lady who was extremely rude, unhelpful and neglectful told me to call back after 6:30 pm to request it again so they will ask to the doctor to process it.I have explained to her that I really needed the pharmacy to order it today to get it tomorrow. But she kept telling me to call back after 6:30 although she knows that they do not pick up the phone at this time and that no doctor will be around to process the request. I have insisted because I really wanted her to understand that without this prescription my baby wouldn't be able to eat and she hung up on me! Please note that this is not an isolated case, it is recurrent with St Andrews Health practice. I am dealing with really bad anxiety every time I need to request a prescription to them especially when it comes to my baby. And I have been to the exact similar situation a month ago. My baby is going to the nursery next week which means that I will need to provide them some formula too. I don't think that my baby is safe with St Andrews unprofessional heartless staff. I don't understand why the management let them talk to clients the way they do, act the way they do without never stepping in. This is the worst practice ever!

Review titled Fast and thorough support when my child was ill
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 23 October 2024
I was impressed by the speed with which face to face appointments were offered (within the space of a day) on two recent occasions when I contacted the surgery about my child’s health. The doctor we saw was helpful and supportive - and it was great to be able to see the same doctor on both occasions. I was happy with the advice we were given and am overall very happy with this surgery.
