  1. Review titled Disgusting and Unsafe Practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

The practice has some appalling receptionists who are quick to jump to conclusions. They are unhelpful and have shocking attitudes and then wonder why patients get frustrated with them. Since when has it been ok to speak to patients like something they have stood in? I hope I never have the misfortune of having to speak to these individuals again. As for the GPS, well they must’ve been to the same place as the receptionists to learn how to speak to people! A tip for people working here: Speak to people how you would like to be spoken to!

  2. Review titled Brilliant Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Very happy with the care provided by Springfield House. Registered for 8 years as a patient- both children also registered (7 year old and 6 month old). One very minor issue in 8 years, which resulted in me being given advice to attend A&E (which was not appropriate for the situation) however this can be easily forgiven due to “crossed wires” between myself and the receptionist. GP’s and staff are brilliant. As with any surgery you have to ring at 8am, where possible, for an emergency appointment and be prepared to keep ringing until the lines clear enough for you to join the queue. I phoned 69 times to get our latest appointment (ring- redial, and repeat) but I joined the queue within 5 minutes and spoke to a receptionist within 7 minutes which, in the current climate, is nothing short of miraculous! Similar experience each time I have had to ring for an on the day appointment. Calls are answered much faster in the afternoon so, if it’s not an emergency appointment then you are better to ring later on or use the online service. Apart from the one occasion mentioned, I have always been given either an appointment on the day or a call back from the on-call GP after their morning surgery (10-11am). No problems with routine appointments to date. All in all this surgery does a marvellous job at a time when primary care services are absolutely stretched beyond belief. If only the CCG would push to reopen the walk in centre to take some of the pressure away from practices by providing an overflow service for emergency appointments!! Thank you for your continued care.

  3. Review titled Not fit for purpose

I wouldn't even bother trying to get an appointment. The advice is always the same. You need to attend A&E.. So now A&E is to be used for a course of antibiotics rather than your GP surgery.

  4. Review titled GP practice going downhill

Rated 1 star out of 5

Tried to book a appointment on 21st Nov at 0800, dialled the surgery 23 times, I kept getting engaged tone for 2 rings then cut off. At 0930 I then took myself to the surgery I needed a appointment I was told by receptionist appointments had gone for today, but try later for a telephone consultation. At 11.50 I rang the surgery and got the usual message I was 5th in the queue. On having my call answered I was told a doctor had rang in sick, the surgery was really busy and there would be no telephone consultations. This practice is getting harder and harder to get an appointment, you can't even book online as it says appointments only for smears with the nurses.

  5. Review titled Receptionist ignorant & dismissive to patients

Rated 1 star out of 5

I'm 67 years old and diabetic with blood pressure problems after a short stint in hospital, the specialist at the hospital emailed my GP for continued care, the issue I have is getting past the receptionist, the GP himself has messaged me and sent letters but when I ring the surgery one of the receptionists and its the same one every time she scolds me for ringing makes me feel like I'm a hindrance and tells me to ring back another day all the while I'm not getting my medication, id rather go without than have to put up with her rudeness every time I ring so ill just soldier on without my medication, its too much for my mental health dealing with the receptionist, She's even resorted to putting the phone down on me!

  6. Review titled The worst experience ever in UK

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 April 2024

We had really bad experience with this Springfield House medical Center. It was not only a one time its happening again and again. At least they don't give a proper concern on children. I will explain my experience below. 1. It was my 1 year and 11 months daughter. We came to UK in Sep 2022 and registered to the Springfield House Medical Center. I gave my daughter's vaccination book to the medical center and they photo copied it. Then I got a letter that she is due to a vaccination and advised to get an appointment for vaccination.I got an appointment and went on time.We went to the nurse's room and waited for the vaccine. She said that " She doesn't know that what vaccination should be given as there is no any details in the system". We had to go back. We gave the Vaccination book again and again.all together 3 times. now my daughter is 3 years and 4 months. Until today she never given any vaccination unless flu Jab. When I go and asked about it receptionist said that they will inform us and do not have to inquire. 2. Then my elder daughter (6 years) who is having anaphylaxis to Coconut. We came to UK in Sep 2022 and found a school to my daughter. But the school asked to submit an Allergy action plan through GP Center as she has epi pen.We went to the GP center and asked for a allergy action plan. The doctor said that " I have never herd about Allergy action Plan". Because of their negligence my daughter missed her right for education nearly for 2 months. But finally health adviser involved and a nurse came to the school and prepared the allergy action plan and let my child to learn after 2 months. We were really worried about the service but we didn't complain as there may be human errors. But these are not human errors as it is happening again and again. 3. Then got 4 epi pens by GP center and I kept them with me and school. Then my child got an appointment from Paediatric Immunologist in Manchester Children Hospital. They said that the epi pens that were given from the GP is not appropriate epi pen for the age and weight. They took the exciting epi pens I had and issued new epi pens. Each and every mistake cannot be consider as a error. These are negligence and it happened to a child with a allergy with a risk of her life. 4. Last experience was to my husband who is a skilled worker in this country. He had a severe pain in his hip joint and couldn't even walk properly. we tried to get an appointment and the answer was. " appoitment can be taken only on end of next moth" . We went to A & E. The staff in A&E are really efficient and kind. They gave pain killers and asked to rest at least 1 week. They asked to get X-ray through GP if the pain continues. But same answer, I begged for an appointment as my husband couldn't walk and he was dragging his leg. but the answer was "this is not and emergency and a regular appointment can be given on next moth". still he is suffering with it and we are really disappointed about this GP.
