The nurse practitioner I spoke to today was absolutely amazing, totally understood my issues and rectified immediately, cannot recommend enough. I shall be writing to the practice to state the same. Amazing

When an appointment is made on surgery messenger . I noted the time and date on my calendar . The time was 8.45 I then received a text message the day before my appointment to say my appointment was 8.54. I then had to waste Time phoning the surgery to check the correct Time to be told. Yes we do send a text with a more accurate time . Why not say the " accurate " time on messenger when the appointment is made !!!!

Saw one of the GP's today who was very friendly, polite, professional and approachable (would put her name on here but it says I'm not allowed). A credit to the surgery and the NHS as a whole. Will definitely recommend her

After having numerous problems getting appointments at my previous GP surgery, a 40 minute wait to have the phone answered when I was number 16 in the queue at 8.30 am on one occasion followed by sending them an online message (told it was quicker to do it that way) detailing my problem and getting a prompt email reply asking me to resubmit my online message or telephone them at 12am on the dot to try for a pm appointment, I transferred to Southgates and the Wootton’s practice. Unlike my old practice Southgates has a very efficient online service. I have had 2 face to face visits with impressive GP’s who actually give a thorough examination of my problems and immediate treatments rather than referring onto the hospital which has a 42 week ENT waiting list before they aim to contact you with an appointment at some point. My new surgery offered a new treatment for that condition which within days had relieved a long term breathing problem. My new surgery has also given me an examination and a cortisone injection into an arthritic joint rather than telephone consultations advising pain killers or pain relief gel. I have also had a diagnostic blood test to determine the type of arthritis in the joint. My quality of life has improved drastically under Southgates Practice and I am very grateful to the amazingly friendly staff from receptionists to nurse and GPs. A GP practice should, as this one is, be run for the best interests of its patients not for the convenience of receptionists and medical staff. I would add the building is lovely, spacious, light and airy unlike My previous practice where, if you are ever lucky enough to be seen in person, you sit in narrow, crowded, corridors.

good comunication,but when i need proof from gp i need pay many...i dont understend why?i now on sick not after 1 week back to work end need proof from dr. I'm very angry becouse on reception tell for me i need pay 30pound ...I think this its not right.

I never saw the same GP, had referrals that were not completed and dismissed during appointments when discussing my symptoms. Told to "google" a diagnosis when called about test results and randomly said that they would not prescribe a class of medication for no actual reason during my appointment which left me wondering if the doctor was even listening to the concerns. After they failed to take it seriously I changed surgery to my previous one and got the tests needed to rule out obvious serious health conditions and the help I needed. I was also concerned at the surgeries poor record keeping. One of my medical records said I had a test and I mentioned that I didn't recall having that test and the doctor did not seem bothered. It looked like a test a family member may have had and not mine. Sometimes I wonder why every year I have to pay so much money for services like these to be treated like a mug.

Emailed 30/5/22 8am. Surgery phoned me by 10am I had a face to face appointment with a great female GP at 11.30am same day. Examined and some tests etc. Very efficient. Great bedside manner. Caring.

Yesterday I had a lesion removed and from start to finish the staff made me feel so at ease, so friendly. I cannot praise them enough what a brilliant "team".Well done to all of you ,feel proud.

My experience at both Nth Wootton and Southgates Surgery’s has been brilliant. Very kind, caring staff. Prompt appointments and timely treatments offered. A cancer diagnosis inevitably increases contact with surgery and services. The diagnosis itself thanks to a fast track referral. Well done and thank you
