   I have been attending your Surgery recently, as I am s Student living away from home and currently living in Corringham. During my time attending you Surgery, Staff on Reception and the Doctors have always been polite and friendly to me. I have never an issue for them. However this morning I had a phone call appointment with a member of staff who I think according to the reception wasn’t quite the same as a doctor but can do most of what the doctors can do (I’m unsure of their title) The person I spoke to was rude and patronising to me and really upset me. I was told I should see a Gynaecologist which in itself concerned me. I explained I had Benenden Health Care, but was not sure if I was covered for this particular scenario, as although the are a Private Health Care Provider, they do not cover everything. I asked to be put on a waiting list to be seen to which they replied “Why would you want to do that?” in an unpolite and rude manner. They were short tempered in general and my polite demeanour was not reciprocated. I feel the way they spoke to me was extremely rude and when finished the call, I became extremely upset, which caused me to cry. I struggle understand why people are rude to others without reason and I shouldn’t have been spoken to and made to feel like this this morning, which made me upset. It’s such a shame since the rest of the people I’ve encountered at the surgery have been amazing

We strive to provide a high quality care for all patients, and this includes attitudes towards all patients from any person within the practice. Please be assured that an investigation will take place, and any necessary actions will be taken. We are pleased that in general, you have found the practice staff to be polite and friendly.
