If you want a prescription they decided you don't need it I need black diabetes socks only had 1 pair off them in 8 years but put ina request for them 3times still have not got them they just leave off to chemist

We are sorry that you are having problems with your prescription. If you contact the Diabetic Nurse at the practice or come along to a Diabetic drop in on a Thursday at 3 the nurse will be able to help you with this.

I know covid was an issue, and I'm very aware that government cutbacks to the NHS are a major problem; but why is it totally impossible to get to see a doctor? I have a receptionist tell me that my condition isn't serious enough to warrant a face to face meeting and I should wait for a phone call over the next 7 days... my condition is longterm and debilitating, causing me to miss work regularly. That used to be enough, why isn't it now? Apalling service; polite, but still appalling!

I am sorry that you are not satisfied with the service provided by the practice. The reception team have protocols to follow to ensure that patients are directed to the most appropiate clinician as not all conditions need to be seen by a GP. We do try to make sure that all patients who need advice or treatment are contacted or seen within 2 weeks as per our contract with NHS England. If you would like to discuss this further please contact a member of the management team.

I am so sorry to hear people have been leaving negative reviews on social media about this amazing practice. I cannot praise the doctors, nurses and reception staff more. They have provided an outstanding service to my elderly father and although I live many miles away from him due to work commitments, I feel reassured he is in very capable hands. The e-consult system is a first class means of contacting the practice for my father, which I have used recently. I understand some patients would prefer to book appointments, like in the days before covid, but I would much rather have the appropriate clinician signposted to me rather than have to wait to see a GP when a pharmacist could have sorted me out sooner. Many thanks to everyone at Solent View Medical Practice.

My son has been registered with the practice since 2006 but recently completed his University registrations where he starts on 26th September 2022. He remains at his home address until that time. He does not leave here until the 24th September 2022. He recently had to attend an A&E Department in London for a severe throat infection where he had an abcess that needed to be drained and then put on intravenous antibiotics followed by an oral course. He completed these approximately 2 weeks ago. Over the weekend it flared up again so we contacted the surgery this morning to arrange an urgent appointment only to be informed that he was no longer registered with the Practice and we would need to contact his new GP. We have no idea who this is and assume it is within the University - 120 miles away and which does not open until 26th September 2022 and who know nothing about my son. I am absolutely disgusted with the approach taken and feel very let down. Informing me that they had had the same problem is not very helpful. As a family we have all been registered with the practice since 2006 - originally with the smaller practice until they merged and I have to advise that that practice ran perfectly with staff that cared and worked with the patients as opposed to against. I very much appreciate the pressure that the NHS have been under of late but feel incredibly let down at this time.
