I was booked an appointment at Slaithwaite health centre. Their page links me to leave my review for "elmwood family doctors, so I assume the two ce tre are the same, or Slaithwaite health centre is posting the wrong link. I received a text to confirm it, tha ks god, so I couldn't be refused. When I got there, my name wasn't on the list. The appointment was not been registered or recognised on the system. I had a text, so at least I had something to get by. So the nurses asked around and improvise a blood appointment on the day. I was "lucky" and we managed it. The nurse said that was overloaded, and the Slaithwaite practise does this it all the time, booking people not on the schedule and passing them over without a real time slot allocated. Labelling may have been done in a hurry. The result was that a week after I received the news that they couldn't process my blood samples due to technical issues. I took a whole day off and a taxi back and forth fir that appointment. I wish you could be more professional about it Please write me with an explanation Can you also re assurme that it is safe and worth making another appointment (I.e: the last appointment was not even registered/recognised because of xyz, but my next appointment will now be registered or recognised, because now you got better at it ...or something if that nature taht may offer me a hope to come there in full confidence of being in capable hands.... so far that is not the case. Also, can you contribute at all for another bus pass as can't take taxi and day off anymore.

I’ve had a couple of appointments in the last couple of months and on both occasions I’ve felt well looked after. It was easy to get through to reception and both times I was offered an appointment within 24 hours. Great practice, very much appreciated

Just excellent. We have recently moved to the practice having been with a failing practice close by for 30 years yesterday, I was seen with a viral tummy bug immediately the care and compassion of the doctor was first class the staff receptionist et cetera were wonderful. Why can’t all doctors surgeries be like this should’ve moved to them 30 years ago. Don’t suffer with a poor practice as we have done. There really are excellent alternatives🙂
