  1. Review titled The worst practice in rotherham

The staff are very rude and there is only the odd one or two that actually care. The receptionist thing so big of themselves and I always feel like it’s an argument than a normal conversation with them. Getting an appointment is very hard in a morning and have to beg for one and make your self feel worse by really explaining yourself and acctually feeling sorry for yourself by the end of it just to be told no appointment available. When you try to order a prescription the receptionist act like you are making them pay for it out of their own pocket.

The practice nurse is fantastic, and the receptionists work hard to manage in difficult conditions. It's not their fault that this practice is incredibly badly run. Many problems stem from a lack of confidence with digital systems. For example, the doctors will not fill out forms digitally, and they do not accept digital copies of forms from patients, so you always have to go to them during working hours just to put your name on a piece of paper. Despite being connected to the Rotherham Health App, it is not actually possibly to book appointments online - you have to call them at 8am, which is not possible if you have a condition that causes fatigue or sleep issues, or if you are neurodivergent and struggle with talking on the phone. Even if I was able to call at 8am, to accommodate this system I would have to take an entire day off work, since I don't know beforehand what time my appointment will be. This means I basically never get non-urgent or preventive care. Additionally, the doctors do not seem to try to understand my experience or needs. They seem to operate in a very pro-forma fashion, asking a series of questions based on protocol, rather than actually trying to understand what the patient is trying to say. As a result of the doctors' lack of understanding of my overall health, they take information from my records completely out of context, which impacts me in situations such as asking for a doctor's note that explains my health issues. This chaotic and inattentive approach has a real impact on patients' lives, and puts us at risk materially and physically. Significant change is needed in order to adapt to the needs of patients in the 21st century.

  3. Review titled Well Run

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I can't rate this practice highly enough. Having been a patient at the practice for several years, a common trait that I've consistently observed is that the staff really do go out of their way to help you. Compassionate, professional and dedicated are perhaps a few words to describe those that work at this practice. Despite how busy the practice is, I have almost always managed to acquire appointments at times suited to myself, which has been very helpful as a working person. I personally couldn't ask for a better practice to take care of my health.
