My experience with this practice has been very positive. I am a 60 year old man and in my opinion, I have been well looked after and always feel I am been taken seriously by the Doctors, they have worked really hard to get my problem dealth with.

  2. Review titled Not what it used to be

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Sadly the care from this once wonderful surgery is now practically non existent. I have long term health problems and once felt very well cared for. Now it's practically impossible to get an appointment or call back from your GP, I'm currently waiting 6 weeks to speak to my own GP via telephone. The excuse used is covid but this makes absolutely no sense to still be using that as an excuse for the state this practice is in. It gives me anxiety just knowing I have to phone them as the appointment booking system is a nightmare. One hour in a queue to be told no appointments available. I'm left feeling anxious that the medical support system I once had is no longer there. If I had any other choice but to stay registered with this surgery I'd leave immediately, unfortunately I'm stuck with this low level of care.

Thank you for taking the time to comment about the surgery. We are extremely sorry to read this and can only apologise for your disappointment. Whilst we cannot continue to use Covid as an excuse, it has certainly played a huge part in changing the demand for GP services. Our surgery is not alone in struggling with the huge number of requests received on a daily basis. In August 2022 the Practice received just under 20000 phone calls. We have taken on additional staff, both clinical and administrative to help with the increase and we continue to look for ways in which we can ease the situation. If you would like to make contact with the Practice direct, we can look at the specific areas of concern you raised.

  3. Review titled Doctors Letter

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Gillian Pinder - Posted on 24 September 2022

Had to get a letter from GP stating fitness to drive as over 80 and needed to hire a car. Letter at reception but had to pay £40 for two letters for myself and husband. Could not pay by card, had to pay direct to bank or by cheque, fortunately had chequebook. Paid but not allowed to take letter until cheque cleared. So two visits to surgery just for two letters. Receptionist v. pleasant and apologetic. However a waste of her time and mine.

Dear Mrs Pinder - thank you for taking the time to comment on the service you received. We are so sorry to read this and will be looking at our systems and processes to ensure we are not creating additional visits for patients and additional work for our staff. We are grateful for your review, which will help us to continue to improve. Best wishes Seaford Medical Practice
